Don't need my reservation at Le Cellier

Hey everyone,

I had planned a trip to Disney in October but we aren't going anymore . Anywho we had reservations for Le Cellier on Oct. 13th for 2. I can't remember the exact time right off but its a late lunch around 3 pm or so. I figured if there was anyone on here that was trying to get ressies for that day I'd gladly call and switch the reservation into their names.

So I guess who ever responds first I'll PM you and we can get all the information needed to switch the ressie.

Thanks! :)

That's what I intended, to see that someone who is a die hard Disney fan like myself could possibly get the ressie. I know a lot of people plan last minute trips on here and they usually don't end up getting good reservations so I figured if I can help a fellow Disney geek like myself then that would be great! :D

Oh and the time for the ressie is 1:05 pm.

I disagree. As long as it's a give a way and not trying to sell, let the die hard WDWMAGIC people have it.
I agree as well. No harm in seeinmg if you can help out your online friends first, before cancelling if no one wants it.

Captain Hook, you're such an old grump....:p

Thank you for your offensive comments.

I'm just trying to be fare to ALL those who visit WDW - where is it written that we have an absolute right to first refusal on ADRs ?????

And where is it written that they don't have that right?
I agree, I would hate to see this site become a bunch of reservation posts to give away to other folks, you might even see some people bidding on ressies!
But I also think if someone on this site wants to take the time to change a reservation over to someone else (and that might not be that easy) that's ok....we are like "friends" on this site so what does it matter?

As for the grump comment, get a thinner skin, it was said in a coy way.

The thickness of my skin has got nothing to do with it.

I made a valid point - I offered my opinion (freedom of speech and all that). Did anything that I said warrant name calling (even if you consider it "coy"). Simple answer - no

Too many people on these boards make comments that they believe to be humourous without engaging their brain first.

Name calling is not acceptable nor should it be condoned by others

I can't believe what this thread has turned into  wvugeoggrad just wanted to do a nice thing and offer a reservation to someone who would like it.

Surely someone can say ' yeah i'll take it' and that'll be the end of it?

Exactly. I'd offer an ADR I couldn't use to friends first, so I don't see a problem with it here.

Name calling is not acceptable nor should it be condoned by others.

Come on now, lighten up. Is it really name calling if it was meant in jest? I'd agree with you if I thought Catch 22 had any malicious intent, but clearly the comment was meant in good fun.

There's really no point in arguing about this ... According to another thread about ADRs (read: free dining) on the site right now, you can't transfer a ressie. There's a process, and ressies cannot be transferred in such a manner - they have to be totally relinquished.

I did not realize that you couldn't transfer ressies. So for the sake of making anyone else mad I'll just give it up. Stuff like this is the reason I really only read posts on these forums.

Thanks for those who had a positive attitude about this. I guess I'm just too nice of a person.

Oh please....when was the last time they asked you for ID to be seated?

I always just check in, then get seated when they call my name.

NEVER have I been asked to prove who I am.

All someone has to do is give the greeter/Maitre d' the name on the reservation.

To be honest, if you give someone the number and your surname then it wouldn't be questions and, if it was, then they can just say that you were supposed to be on the trip, but had to cancel so they came without you.

It's a shame that you can't try and do a nice thing. You can always cancel and it will likely get picked up by someone on the Free Dining Plan and then they'll probably not tuen up anyway....

Anyway, I hope you get to have your trip sometime soon.

Good lord man lighten up. I can't believe you think being called a grump is a personal attack.

Catch 22 next time say Grumpy(instead of grump) attach a pic of the dwarf and maybe Hook will not be so offended

BTW to the OP thank you for the thought and being kind to offer your ADR (for Free mind you)

No need to be snarky. The OP said they were going to call disney and change over the name .. I was only pointing out that it can't be done like that.

Grow up

this is rediculous. Honestly people on the forumns need to stop being so grumpy and stop saying harsh things and stop fliping out. This is a disney forumn so people can talk about the place they love. People need to stop being so grumpy and mean. First off the lady was trying to be kind and give it to a fellow disney lover so let her be nice. It was her reservation and she can do what she wants with it. She was just trying to be nice. people need to just stop posting mean things and just be happy thinking about disney world =D aha.

Exactly the OP was trying to give Magic to someone and it turns into insults.

I would have taken it if it was for next week.
