If you know the actual story of the broken Yeti I'm sure we would all love to hear it.

Rumor has itTSMM is getting plussed as are the ToT and possibly RnRC. And of course there is Star Tours 2. Something for everyone. With likely much more in the works.

Oh yeah. that Kuka ride at Innoventions and........well I guess that should do for now.

I'm not claiming to know why the Yeti is down. It's not an atrocity that the Yeti is broken. It is, however, an atrocity that the most integral part of the Animal Kingdom's signature attraction is broken and has remained broken for years and that plans do exist for the Yeti to be fixed but they have not happend yet. If you do not realize the magnitude of this predicament, I suggest you check out Lee's blog.

The thing is that those DHS refurbs you mentioned...only several years ago this was the status quo and were taken for granted. It speaks volumes that such minor changes are such a rarity that their occurrence is celebrated. What I would love to know is why none of these Tower of Terror upgrades didn't happen on its 13th anniversary, or why ST2 has taken this long. The Kuka arm is something I can guarantee you most guests haven't even heard about, much less actually ride. That's not something you can advertise on a billboard on I-4.

Lest we forget the Lights of Winter, the Adventurer's Club, Imagination 4, Space Mountain's grand refurbishment, Pirates of the Caribbean's refurbishment, Mysterious Island, pyro cuts in Wishes and IllumiNations, the fact Fantasmic! no longer performs nightly, long-neglected monorail beams, SSE's descent, need I go on?

I am not sure how I feel about characters on EPCOT, but since the harm is already done I hope it will look good. :)
This does not bother me as much as Gran Fiesta Tour. The related characters have been having Meet & Greets for years. The problem is when the actual Attractions have the character added like The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Gran Fiesta Tour. BTW' Jose' Carioca is from Brazil.

Is there new management at EPCOT or are you referring to the same TDO management that refuses to fix the Yeti, "plus" their attractions, or spend money on improving guest experiences for everyone?
This does not cost that much so yeah it's the same management. One meet & greet does not signal any change in the corporate culture.

I know I keep saying this but a lot of the stuff you mention was under the old system. I am more optimistic for WDW's future than I have been in a long time.

So, Lee has a blog!? Are you talking about the Lee that posts here or leemac?

Usually mngt says something like "guests don't know those characters". I doubt we'll see them back.

DROP THE PESSIMISM, DREW! DROP IT AT ONCE BEFORE YOU DESTROY ALL YOUR CREDIBILITY AS AN INSIDE SOURCE!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Besides, as a self-proclaimed inside source, you should know by now that Panchito and Jose are absent because they're undergoing redesigns and will eventually return!

Whether Lee has a blog or not, I would very strongly advise against reading his anti-Disney propaganda, as usual.

What old system? When was the most recent shake-up at TDO? Most of the projects I mentioned before have been frozen for years and continue to be frozen to this day. There is no "new system". The same TDO that built the same kind of meet and greet in Germmany a year ago is the same TDO that is building the meet and greet in Mexico right now.

Lee that posts here made a blog here. Check the Yeti thread. It's a good read.

That would be nice. :)

Well, my just turned 4 year old daughter asked where the other two were! Take that mngt!!!

I can see how mngt might make that argument... but it doesn't really fly here as they are in the ride just inside that big pyramid!

Don't forget that this also explains why Donald never wears pants.
No one wears pants in Mexico.
Look it up.

If guests would request them at Guest Relations and they got lots of requests then there might be a possibility of them coming back. Marie would get loads of requests on C.H.I.P. hotline and now she is out all the time.

Yes, that's true. I guess he is getting a permanent location instead of a temporary one.

I believe this permanent location will help reduce the congestion in the Mexico area from where he used to be located. Especially with the ongoing construction at the cantina.....

Maybe its just me, but hasn't Donald been doing M&G's in Mexico for a few years now??

Some people on here seem to think it's a new addition.

Yep previously Donald just stood in the pathway that links the promenade to the backstage area. He is now getting a permanent structure. Have a look at the photos in the info I posted in the first post and you will see what is new.
