Actually, those construction walls are for the Cantina. The whole driveway is dug up for utility lines to the new Cantina. Soon there will be some ugly steel plates going across the promenade to cover the trenching between backstage and the new Cantina.

Thanks for the info (news item now updated). I had assumed (wrongly) that these were all part of the meet and greet work.

Isn't that the handicapped entrance to Mexico also? I recall going that way once with a group to avoid the stairs.

Nope. It is the driveway next to the handicap entrance, it is right by the Margarita stand

Not only is the area walled off but the road is no longer there. They completely dug out the road down to about 10 feet below ground level for some reason.
