Dolphin VS Swan

Just curious about this one... Do you enjoy the Dolphin resort or the Swan resort better? In my (admittedly biased) opinion, I love Dolphin, for its use of water features, spaciousness, and its modern feel. I also really love the night sky in the lobby, such a magical and unexpected touch!
As for the Swan, it just didn't feel as roomy to me. Your thoughts?

I agree the Swan has a more intimate feel to it and I felt like the staff at the Swan were much more knowledgeable and helpful, especially during the check in process. That being said I really enjoy the Dolphin lobby and being a few steps closer to the shared theme pool. Once the Dolphin rooms finish the update, I will probably stay there again over the Swan.

The Swan has bigger beds. Stayed at both several years in a row. Both are Heavenly Beds but the Swans are Queens, the Dolphins are one size smaller.

That doesn't sound right. A queen mattress is more or less an industry average offering - and a standard size. The next size down would be a full, and there's no way that's the regular offering.

Well it is right, I have stayed there many times.

'I would probably recommend the Swan if you are sharing a room, because they have queen beds...the Dolphin has doubles.'

The Swan gets an edge when it comes to the room layout, because it's rooms have two queen beds (vs. two doubles at the Dolphin

I know the Swan has queen size beds. Does the Dolphin have queen or double?
actually dolphin has oversized double beds

If the Dolphin truly has double (full) mattresses, that's pretty crappy. Too narrow - and too short! I wouldn't have guessed this size for a hotel of that caliber/cost. The Swan definitely has queen.

I have stayed at both. I agree with previous posters that said they would choose the best price. If both were the same, I would have to go with the Dolphin. It has Picabu, the equivalent to a quick service that is open 24 hours, and the laundry facility. I also love the large lobby with the fountain. I agree that the swan has a quieter feel. It is also slightly closer to the boardwalk and Epcot if you are walking. IMHO, the beds at both were fabulous.

I prefer the Swan, mainly due to it being more compact. I do like the lobby of the Dolphin. I tend to really think of the two as the same resort, just 2 wings of the same hotel.

I totally agree it's thinking of them as the same hotel..... When we stay at Dolphin and we walk to EPCOT, we walk a lot on the Yacht/Beach Club side and when we stay at the Swan we walk a lot on the Boardwalk side. That's really the only difference for us.

There is a better chance of getting a balcony at the Swan (if you request one during check-in) because there are more balconies at the Swan.

I can see how it's really easy to consider them as different wings of a resort, and the Swan is very intimate in a way that the Dolphin cannot boast. Though on the matter of beds, I can say that we got queen sized ones on my last stay, and they were practically perfect. I know they have certain rooms with double beds though.
