Where will you eat ? Swolfin (Swan and Dolphin) has much better dining venues.

This is one of the things I really like about the Swolfin. Between the two hotels there are around a dozen different dining options from quick server up to high end dining. Beyond this you are a 5 minute walk to all the restaurants at the Yacht Club, Beach Club and Boardwalk.

Thank you all so much!!! I decided to go with the Dolphin since I am getting a great discount and think I need to work my way back into believing in the "Disney owned resort magic". I felt it before but after the last time I stayed on property being so horrendous and having multiple issues I decided to go with the neutral-kind of Dolphin

To answer a few of your questions:
1. I am renting a car so could use disney transport if wanted to but plan to drive to most places ourselves.
2. We will eat at various locations as I love character dining.
3. The magic band seems neat and in think we will get one to use in the parks but not so worried about not being able to use them to charge to room or get into room.

I am having an issue though...it is not allowing me to book fastpass plus and I am at the 60 day mark...Everything I found says I should be able to but it will not let me on the app or the website. Should I contact anyone about this?

Thank you again for all your helpful perspectives.

Have you gotten around to purchasing your park tickets yet? I believe you will have to:

A) Purchase park tickets
and
B) Link the park tickets to your My Disney Experience account

before you can book FP+. If you've already completed these steps, I'd give Disney World a call to sort it out.

I have stayed at both and found Dolphin to be just another boring hotel. The rooms are nothing special and other than the location about equal to FQ. Yes maybe a little bigger but other than that eh, I love walking around the ground s at FQ with the music and the carriage rides I feel like I'm back in New Orleans. Another one of my favorite places.

Have you linked your hotel reservation confirmation number to your MDE account yet?

6 nights, I am renting a car, and price difference negligible (less than 200 total). I feel good with my decision to stay at the Dolphin. <3

I always stay at the Dolphin. I think you've made a great choice! I wanted to let you know that Dolphin does charge a $25 per night service charge for water bottles and wifi and it's $15+ for parking (you said you were renting a car) in their lots. I thought it was worth mentioning, just in case you didn't already know.

Yup, I did see that. I included the resort fee and the valet parking charge (I like to round up) when figuring the cost difference. But that you for making sure I was aware!! That is why I love these boards! Such helpful people.

Glad to help!! It would be upsetting if you didn't know and it was like a sneaky surprise at the end of a wonderful trip!!!
