Dole Whip

I'm assuming from your avatar that you stay at the Polynesian sometimes? I discovered while there last time that they have a self serve Dole Whip machine in Captain Cooks! So it makes it easy to get one. I don't know if it's as good as the ones in the park, but it's the one that I tried.

Yes we LOVE the Poly and but are facing the reality that we may not be able to stay there in January!!!
And yes, I did notice the Dole Whip machine, but always walked past it. Pretty cool how they have it right there.

Aww,I know, I feel the same way about the Poly. It's our favorite resort, but it's not realistically a place we can stay at all the time. We were going to on our next trip too, but had to switch it. It's the most "magical" resort, I think! Plus it's the only one w/a Dole Whip machine so that's a bonus.

It makes me feel better that other people are in the same situation as us...not that it's a good one! It is unrealistic sometimes, unfortunately.
Haha...it really is the most magical (that I've ever stayed at at least!) and the hotel and the monorail made our trip so special.
We are actually trying to figure out how we can stay because we feel like we have to!!

Being on the monorail really is awesome, and I love watching the fireworks on the beach. I hope you get to stay there next time!! It's hard not to! We chose the Boardwalk for May, since we could walk to 2 parks and technically get on the monorail from Epcot. It was a little cheaper, and was a great deal with the 4/3 thing. Still though - first night there we are eating at Poly!

Master Yoda: I've never had the Dole Whip float! I'm going to make an effort to try that one next time. The pineapple juice sounds good. Are there any other flavors at the actual dole whip stand?

Am I the only one who thinks it's almost sacrilegious to not have a Dole Whip at Disney?

Had my first one, FINALLY, on my third WDW trip a couple of weeks ago and can't believe I went THAT long without ever having tried such a delectable treat! It is now #1 on my list of MUST HAVES when at WDW in the future.

...and to make things even more confusing, you can have it swirled with vanilla ice cream.

Wife and I had the Dole Whip vanilla swirl float last trip. Very tasty. In my opinion the vanilla ice cream smoothes out the flavor and texture.

Can't go wrong with any of them, really.

I agree. The pineapple can be a little tart and the vanilla does smooth it out. I had the DW float last time but I think the Pineapple juice made it too sweet. I would have mine with vanilla swirl without the float next time, thank you.
