Doing the wave with Magic Friends

Yesterday was sooooo awesome! Beginning to end! Will post details and pics later, just have a few moments. One awesomely cool note: Grant took the netting of of the "tiara" from the shower and pinned it on my Phillies cap. People kept asking: "When are you getting married?" (they assumed it was my bachelorette), And when I told them we got married that morning everyone was like "That is sooooo cool!" It was fun! Had to eventually take the netting off though, it was so windy! But got lots of pics!

Oh my word....

I just read the most useless thread on another board.....this dad chaperoned a 2-day 4th grade field trip and couldn't believe the female drama amongst the students. He was basically making the point of how he didn't envy the challenges of raising daughters. Well the women over there FREAKED OUT on him, chewing him out for cutting on the girls, questioning his parenting ability and expressing thanks he wasn't a father to a daughter too. Ummmm.....thank you for MAKING HIS POINT.
Raising kids isn't easy, regardless of gender. But I totally get what he was trying to say - girls are hard. They hold grudges more, they are more cliquesh, and are much more catty. Boys stir up trouble physically, girls use their mouth. And if these women honestly can't admit that, well....I wonder where their precious little angels get their behavior from???

It's over on the Disboards' community board. There were several people agreeing with me, actually, just a few women there that made me want to smack 'em. It absolutely reeks of mothers I used to know whose children could do no wrong, it was always another child's fault (usually mine). Not that Ab is perfect, but she isn't the spawn of Satan either.

OMG Jenny you are so right.

This is what I'm living right now, so it feels very familiar. Plus it starts in kindergarten and only intensifies....like a festering sore. :hammer:

And this is entirely why we... men... are the dominant species. This is why they ask us to do things, and not women.

We are smart, intelligent, and sophisticated.

It's like Dogs vs. Cats, Red Sox vs. Yankees, Celtics vs. Lakers, Nature vs. Nurture, Celine Dion vs. Every singer ever, Me vs. Nibbs, Dunkin Donuts vs. Starbucks...

All the former simply dominate and run show over the latter.

:king:
