Trip Report Doing it Live One Last Time! It's Our "Let's Try Some New Things" Summer Adventure to Disney World

Since its already after nine and we are getting up at 2:45 for our drive from the Lehigh Valley to the Philadelphia airport, I figured I'd get the beginning details of our trip posted.

Our flight is scheduled for 6:50 am arriving in Orlando at 9:20. Ive been looking all week on the SWA site, and it has shown this flight arriving early each morning this week!

Our first resort is AKL. We plan on dropping off the kid's carry on bags at bell services, trying to check-in, then heading straight to the MK. We have FP+ for Peter Pan at 12:30, followed by lunch at the Plaza at 1. After lunch, we have FP+ for SDMT and Space Mountain. Crystal and I were able to ride the mine train twice during the 24 hours in May, but that was an adults only trip (really wish I had done a live TR for that trip), so this will be a first for Brayden and Madelyn.

We have a week long stay planned at AKL before moving to GF for a week and finishing up a relaxing resort only stay at YC. We never just did resort only activities in WDW, so this will be a first for us.

Other firsts this trip will be both water parks, La Nouba, and Harambe Nights. We also have The Frozen activities planned in HS.

We are trying a few new restaurants as well. As I stated in the countdown thread, we have no plans on a trip to WDW or DL anytime soon. We really want to see and do many of the things we always talk about, but somehow never end up doing.

Have a good night everyone, and I'll be posting as time allows in the morning. Really excited for this trip!

Walking to meet Mickey. Probably going back to the resort after. Tomorrow is our last park day. We have a plan to hit all four. Hope it all works out

We did that our last day on our last trip in 2009. It was tiring yet amazing! We even hit MK twice that day. Have loved your report, keeping me going until we get there. :) Will be following along!

Can't believe tomorrow is your last park day already! Looking forward to seeing if you make it to all 4 parks.
It's been so much fun to this point. The great thing about tomorrow's attempt is we have no plans but to rest the next three days at Yacht Club. So being tired our last day in the parks won't be so worrisome. No need to think about getting packed and off to the airport

Sounds good! We did resort hopping at 4 resorts and hit the 24 hrs party in May also. Definitely hit both water parks, especially Blizzard Beach. Let us know how it was!

Great report, and beautiful family (I've also been back to look at some of,your previous reports).

At the risk of being nosy, wondering why this is your last trip (at least for years).
Thanks for the compliment, and you're not prying at all. We've been fortunate to be able to take quite a few trips to both Disney World and Disneyland the last seven years. It's been a great experience watching our kids grow up here. I never had the chance to see Disney as a kid. I'd say I've made up for lost time. Our kids are at the age where my wife and I think they are ready for some other exploring. We would like to travel across our great country, see Europe, and a few other bucket list items in the next few years. Plus, it's so much harder to have the kids miss school when we do travel on many of our trips. I know we will be back. There are still things we want to see, especially tours once the kids are a bit older. But for right now, we will be turning a new page in our vacation adventures. I only hope that when our next Disney vacation happens, it's an entirely new experience

Great trip report. The family pictures are really cute. Good luck with the 4 different parks and have a wonderful time on that task. I know it can be tough but you guys can do it. Will follow along with todays adventure.
