I often find myself wondering how many of you are lucky enough to have a spouse/significant other that loves Disney as much as you do. My DH is not a fan, at all. I often think of all the times we could go to WDW if only he shared my (and our kids) enthusiasm. Not to mention all of the conversations we could have about the great things I learn on this site. Whenever I start to tell him something I'm excited about, I get the eye roll and the big sigh. Are you lucky? :brick:

I think we might be married to the same guy! :veryconfu The kids and I LOVE all things Disney but my husband could take or leave (mostly leave) Disney. I've been going almost every year since I was eight (30 years) and have turned my kids into Disneyaholics too. My husband would rather cruise (not Disney though). I often think it might be better to have seperate vacations!:zipit:

My DH says he loves disney as much as I do, but I'm not convinced. We consider it "our place" because we honeymooned there. Our DD was conceived at the CB three years later. We visit every other year, but would like to go every year, so we are seriously considering DVC. My DH doesn't visit this site, but he asks me every day what's new at Disney. I can't imagine being married to someone who didn't share my love for Disney!

married my Disney soulmate

I found my DH on Love@aol back in 2000 because I searched the profiles for Disney. He had in his profile that on his last vacation he had gone to EPCOT on NYE 1999. When I saw that in his profile; I thought that is someone I have to meet. We had our first date on 07/22/00 then our 1st date to Disney on 08/05/00 (We live in Tampa) and we have been together ever since then. After our 1st date I knew I found the man that I was going to marry. We got married on 02/02/02 at the Wedding Pavillion. We honeymooned in Paris with 2 days to Disneyland Paris. We have been to Disney too many times to count. We have sailed 5 times on DCL. Went to Disneyland last year. Our DS who is 3 loves Disney as much as we do (he was born on the 3rd anniversary of our 1st date to Disney) We are going for his birthday visit on Saturday and all DS can talk about is going on Pirates. He will just burst out singing Pirates and Its a Small World. We are expecting our 2nd son in Nov. We are already wanting to plan another trip to Disneyland and would jump on a DCL at a moments notice if we could. Yes, my spouse loves Disney as much as I do.

I was always a Disney fan. When I was in college, the movie theater near my home showed a different Disney classic every Tuesday night and I went alone because it wasn't "cool" for my friends to go. I saw WDW for the first time in 1978 and almost stayed on, but New York called me home.

The first time my husband visited WDW, in 1998, he just smiled for 5 days straight. It was his idea to look into joining the DVC. Now that he knows how many guys at his workplace (major New York utility) go to WDW, they talk about it all the time. If he didn't like it, forget about it. It would be like pulling teeth to get him there. We are lucky and blessed.

I have a friend who just adores WDW and his partner doesn't get it at all. Because of this, my friend hasn't been to WDW in years. Love has its sacrifices.

Congrats on the new baby! :) That's great! That Disney magic is something else! We conceived one there....and found out about the third's impending (SURPRISE) arrival on one of our trips... My kids are as Disney-crazed as my DH and I.:sohappy:

I'm not yet married, but I don't think I could ever be in any kind of a relationship with someone who didn't at least LIKE Disney or WDW. I plan on bringing my future children to WDW every year while they're young.

My ex-bf practically hated Disney...and that's why he's an ex! (lol, not that we broke up for that reason only! )

My ex-gf thought the same thing, she said it was a waste of money, but had never been there.

My husband could take it or leave it. He goes because he knows I love it and because the kids want to go. He's not necessarily miserable, but I don't expect to see him skipping down Main Street anytime soon, either. Oh, well, as long as he sucks it up and goes, I couldn't care less. We have fun either way!

She loves WDW and everything DISNEY as much as I do! We loved watching our son's excitement when we took him to WDW especially the MAGIC KINGDOM and now we have the pleasure of going with him and our daughter-in-law and watching our 6 year old granddaughter discover the MAGIC for herself.

It's truly a magical place to 3 generations of our family!

I am definitely ucky enough to have a fiancee' that enjoys Disney - maybe not as much as I do, but he is a big fan also. (I think I helped him to see the Disney way a little more clearly.) ) Given the chance to go anywhere for our honeymoon in April, Disney was our first choice. Then we thought again and came up with Hawaii. I believe that we are back to Disney - because "that's just us". It is such a big part of who I am/we are, not to mention that there are Disney elements planned for the wedding, not to go there just wouldn't seem right.:sohappy:

I managed to convert my husband. He was very anti-Disney, then we planned a post-graduation trip...he proposed, we honeymooned, and the rest is history! Now he gets excited when I start planning our next trip. Also, he's in charge of finding all kinds of ride footage and burning it to DVDs to keep me busy til our next trip.

Yeah....I'm lucky...:D
