Does the TTC Need TLC?

I may be one of the few people that care about this but does anyone feel that the Transportation and Ticket Center feel kind of empty? I remember years ago there used to be topiaries of Mickey and Minnie, and there were colorful gates with silhouettes of Mickey and friends and Winnie the Pooh characters. I even remember when Mickey’s Gift Station was open lol. It would just be nice to see them touch the place up again just to bring back the whimsy and touch of excitement before heading into the Magic Kingdom.

I would love to see them bring back topiaries of Mickey and Friends and on the white walls, silhouettes of Disney characters, similar to the walls at Disneyland’s tram stop in the parking garage. It would even be cool to see some fountains too. I know they repainted TTC for the 50th, but it still feels incomplete somehow. It would be cool to hear other ideas on how they could spruce up the place too

Since they are tearing down everything else, just remove the TTC. Fill in the Seven Seas Lagoon and pave us a new parking lot where we can walk to the Magic Kingdom. Disney could kill two birds with one stone and finally put the knife to the monorail system, too. Just food for thought...

Honestly it reminds me of a typical transit train station. No atmosphere, just functional, cement, kind of depressing actually. Even the bus depots are nicer

It would be cool if they put some retail and food there.

Just like Disney Springs they could be the landlord and lease space there.

Its too bad that Dis doesnt "dress up" a lot of the dull or empty spaces around property in order to make them magical and theme them for welcoming guests and set the mood for a Disney day. Maybe its because it would require more spending on overseeing and maintaining things, which takes up staffing time. These things would start the excitement building right at the start. Think of what the Welcome sign does for you as you drive towards Disney.

Yes!!! I’ll play owner for a second here - first thing I would do is hire greeters for each parks security entrance - they would be there to welcome and greet guests and explain the security procedures.

Guest Relations based managers would be on site to monitor all security to make sure Courtesy takes priority over efficiency. These guest relations managers would have full authority over security when it comes to crowd flow, and line management.

If properly implemented - this would make such a difference!!!

And they could “take all the trees and put them in a tree museum”

They are too busy spending $200M on 1 season content of content that not only wastes money but damages the franchise.

Falls under "not important". In theatrical terms TTC is just the lobby. If the lobby seems drab looking it is no indication of what awaits you in the show. The transportation (ferry or monorail) is the orchestrated pre-show and is a gradual trip leading you to the curtain (the train station) and ultimately opening up to the actual show which is Magic Kingdom. I feel sorry for those people that think riding in a bus from their resort to the front entrance to MK think they have had the complete experience. Current life is nothing else if not an example of not stopping to smell the roses! Lately, however, the roses have not been as bright or plentiful as they once were and the cost for a half dozen roses is more than what a dozen roses once had cost.

I always thought having a restaurant or bar above the ferry dock would be nice. Would have great views of the fireworks and water pagent, or go the whole hog and build a new resort above like the hotel in Paris (would be tricky but I’m sure they could make it work logistically if they wanted to)

that wouldn't work, because it be free... plus the purpose of the TTC is just to move the masses
