Does Rockin' Roller Coaster Have Any Drops in it?

I like some roller coasters, but ones that have big drops or loops I'm not too into. I enjoyed Space Mountain because it didn't have drops.

But I'm curious--how is RRC? Any big dips/drops in the coaster track? And loops?

Thanks!

There's minor dips, and turns. But there's not like a huge drop in the ride. But there are some great swerves, and "Yes there are loops". Merry Christmas!!!

Aerosmith's RRC is a good ride for all ages! I would say it's one of those coasters that kids can go upside down on for the first time. The take off is great, and then it's all smooth sailing from there.

You will encounter 3 loops, but mainly turns. The G forces are not bad (in my opinion) either, and it's just a fun ride.

No Major drops that I can think of!

Enjoy!

Cuz I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!!!!! (oh man.. great song!!) I remember the first time I went on RRC, the take off totally kicked butt. We got thrown into the first loop after take off and that's when I heard "Back In The Saddle" -- My bro and I were way into it! LOL

I went on the ride again last year with a friend of mine and found out that I got quite sick afterwards. :(

It sucks getting "old" :(

Stay young kids!

And, when you're at MGM -- make sure you ride the RRC for me!

If this is any help, my wife generally hates roller coasters (specifically because of the drops) and before we rode Rockin' Roller Coaster for the first time, she was terrified to ride it. Now it is her absolute favorite ride at WDW. We just got back from there a few weeks ago and she was so proud of herself because she rode it 15 times....by herself!

Also, if you don't consider Space Mountain to have any drops, then you DEFINITELY won't consider RnR to have them. I think of SM as having a lot of drops (granted, they are small ones, but it still has them).

Hope that helps!

No drops but a few quick inversions (loops) but you will never even notice them because you are in the dark the whole time. In fact some people don't even know it goes upside-down. :)

Hey Merlin, I am like your wife... I hate rollercoasters because of the drops - they terrify me. RnRC however, was the first one I rode (I made myself strong and did it during cast preview) and I absolutely loved it. I even ended up requesting the last limo to be able to see the others being on top of mine in the loop!

I don´t like SM - too bumpy for me. :animwink:

I'm a rollercoaster weenie, but I really liked RnR. Starting with the "blast off" you really just have a sensation of being pressed back into your seat. No jerks, bumps or that sickening feeling of dropping straight down. It's a much smoother ride than Space Mtn.

The two highest points of the track are the two inversions that make up what Vekoma calls the "rollover loop." The corkscrew is visible in the middle of the track.

FYI for anyone who missed the sarcasm - that's not really the RNR track. The very non-florida and non-MGM surrounding scenery made me skeptical, and a quick look at the image properties tells me it is the track for a Superman coaster in Holland.

Here is the only actual picture of the tracks I could find, apparently taken during construction:

The picture posted by Dean[AU] is not RnRC, however RnRC is an exact replica...the only difference is of coarse RnRC is inside a building, in the dark, and you have music blasting....

The coaster is GREAT...especially if you usually don't ride them...not too intense and an overall REAL FUN RIDE!!!!!

I dislike Space Mountain, but loved RnRC....

Thats the track :)

So, you're saying that Superman-The-Ride (in Six Flags-Holland) track is the same as RnR?

I never knew that...I thought Disney came up with the track design for RnRC

The two tracks from the pictures do not match up. Sorry Dean, that pic isn't a replica. I know there are replicas of the track, but thats not one of them.

Yeah, I don't see how they match up either. I really don't think that's it
