Does Disney do anything with these surveys?

Any time you call Disney now, they ask you to take a survey at the end of the call. I had to call with a question on my reservation, and got the rudest, most unhelpful CM imaginable. So, I took the survery and gave her low ratings.

Does Disney offer this just to make us feel better, or is it possible someone would speak to this woman about her not-so-Disney attitude?

Im sure they use them. They wouldnt just put them there for the fun of it. She most likely will atleast be spoken with if you gave her a low rating (especially if she accumulates alot of low survey ratings).

Disney has a dedicated Survey and Research department.

ALL data is gathered and analyzed and acted upon.

If you wanted to speak to someone, you should have either asked for her manager then and there, or call back and ask for one. Each cast members name is unique, so just be sure you know their name.

How do they all have unique names? With the number of employees they have, how do they avoid having, for example, 3 John Smiths?

When you are in training for the res center they pass around a list of available names to choose from...so there are never 2 people with the same name. This protects the CM's from having to give out their real names and the possibility of being called at home if they have listed phone numbers. If you have a problem with a CM and ask to speak to a supervisor, even if she tells you her name is Tinkerbell....they know who you are talking about and the issue is addressed directly.
