Does Disney California Adventure have enough repeatable rides?

I'm reminded of how repeatable the following rides were:

Soaring Over California - The experience is repeatable to me but World I found to be just OK, but not believable. I think the focus on nature in California and the fact that we dont have corny computer generated animals, transitions, and buildings makes it so much better.

Tower of Terror: The theming, the employees, atmosphere, amazing special effects. What a great ride. It's funny how "Guardians" and "Star Tours" are given random videos to make a ride "more repeatable", when the one scene well done versions that preceded these updates were way more repeatable in my opinion.

As it stands now I'd say I really enjoy the Grizzly Rapids and the area around it. Everyone thinks it needs more theming and animatronics.

I say we have enough of that. The ride is better for just being a ride through "nature". I don't need animatronic monsters in everything. Keep it basic. I wish I got to go on the Matterhorn before they added the yeti.

I also think the Cars ride is repeatable like others mentioned.

Haven't been on Web Slapperz yet and don't watch videos of rides I've never been on, so no idea on that one yet.

My problem with California Adventure? Too many thrill rides and not enough good family rides. The carnival fare around the bay doesn't count to me either.

You can go on the Haunted Mansion, Small World, and Pirates with people of all ages. The rides last a long time cause they arent focused on thrills, the whole family can ride together.

No wonder more adults without kids go to Disney these days than ever before, it's like every E Ticket since the 70s has to be a thrill ride.

I can't honestly tell you the last time I rode any attraction more than once in Disneyland in a day, probably because there are so many to experience. For DCA, I've ridded multiple attractions more than once, likely because the opposite of Disneyland holds true with regards to available attractions.

It’s kind of fun though. I’m not going to lie, Pound for pound that might be the most fun drop in the entire resort
I've always enjoyed it but it's definitely just a more well built version of other mad mouse attractions you find at county fairs. Unfortunately, I can't get my wife to ride it with me. Hoping my daughter will when we get back to DL/DCA tomorrow.

I've only ridden it once on this last trip, and the pull bar didn't work that well (the cast member yelled at me for it like I did something wrong), and I somehow got all bruised up from it. If it has a low line, maybe I would be persuaded to ride it again, but they need to spruce it up for sure.

The carnival rides in DCA I believe are all off the shelf rides, besides Screamin.
It's all too Gilroy Gardens for me, I think that's what it is. Gilroy Gardens is cute, and fine for what it is, but that's $32-$52 a person to get it, you know?! I don't have to donate plasma just to get in because the costs are so ridiculous.

I agree mostly except I think GRR is Disney quality at least in terms of place making. There are certain parts of the ride where you can lose yourself in the atmosphere. Experimentally, Soarin is Disney quality although it’s showing it’s age. I went on the California version last week and it just looked dim and grainy. Still has that emotional punch though. The only screen focused ride that looks good at DLR right now is Spider-Man.
GRR has great looking fake nature, but the Disney spark is missing. The element of magic. Its just a a generic whitewater rafting ride with a bigger budget. There's nothing unique really about it. As for Soarin', I still maintain it feels like a mock up at WDI. In the past a Disney level E-Ticket wouldn't have the screen be visible as a giant screen saver blue screen nor the ride mechanics. There's no attention to immersion, its just boarding a hanging theatre and watching an Imax movie. I've seen local museums put more care into theming their theatre for "Wonders of the Deep" or whatever Imax movie they have at the time.

It's fun and not trying to say its not enjoyable. It's just out of place to have church parking lot carnival rides when Disneyland is next door.

I think the whole pier area and rides cheapen the park and the brand.

In Disneyland it would be out of place but at DCA it fit right in lol. It’s been there since opening day in one form or another. It’s as DCA as it gets. The whole Pier I think is grandfathered in. It’s part of the fabric of the park. I would have never greenlit it myself but here we are. I appreciate the energy, the fun rides and the ambiance at dusk/ night.

At this point what could really fit in its space without getting rid of some of the other stuff in the surrounding areas. Paradise Gardens is a no fly zone as far as I’m concerned.

Are you not allowed to travel outside the country?

I mean, travel only recently became easy now that PCR testing requirements have finally dropped, so it's basically just cost at this point/booking off work/planning a trip.

My point it... as someone without Disneyland in their backyard, every ride is repeatable and GIVE ME A DAMN CHURRO.

LOL. I feel that! Well hopefully you get back to Disneyland sooner than later. You re basically more or less feeling how us locals were feeling Spring of last year before the parks reopened. Ugh. When i was driving one hour to go to DTD and shop at BVS and wasn’t allowed to take my mask off to sip water. God those were dark days.
