Does Computer Central still function and exist at Epcot?

I know a handful of people who've been in and out of central recently. It's intact as a space, but as Martin said there's not much actually done in there anymore. Lots of fun empty cabinets though, some favorites are ones still marked for Horizons, Equatorial Africa, and a handful marked as "Future Pavilion" along with a number attached. One marked CommuniCore Southeast had been taken over as audio control for the RoE exit music, and still has both labels on it funnily enough.

I’d love to see that.

I’d imagine if it is at all in use there’s probably just poweramps and some hard drives to control lighting and audio.

So who is he? All I know about him is that he has a fixation with photographing rusty pipes and thinks that when you are recording movies you should keep moving the camera as fast as you possibly can. I was getting dizzy.
An ex CM who had a reputation for going where he wasn’t authorised to. And taking the odd momento.

This is very interesting stuff. I recall when I did my walkthrough of the Utilidors during training at MK back in 2013, going by a room that contained lots of cabinets, show control, lighting, sound etc.

Not sure if that is still used or how it worked then, but I do recall one late night, where they extended regular hours, which then extended the extra magic hours... and we were open until like 2 or 3 am or something? We were closing up Gaston's, when suddenly all sound, lighting, everything was turned off, in the entire area. Pitch black, quiet. We had to call our manager... who had to call into show control or something, to turn the lights back on.

That was the first and only time I was back there without any music or lighting. Was a fun little experience.

The same guy accused of stealing Buzzy, and convicted for stealing other, less significant, props and costumes as well. Urban explorer and ex CM.

See, I had thought they had reused them for props in Imagination. Also for the Computer wore Tennis shoes joke..

I know everyone hates this ride but I think that’s pretty funny

so which model and location is that? I'm ashamed to say I can't recall where that footage is shot from. Obviously a large mirror over the model so it's viewable from the side. It's an EPCOT model.. but where...

Edit: from an old post.. looks like Martin suggests it could be in innovations east (or was..) - "Backstage Magic was still in the upper level of Innoventions East"

I hadn't put the model and computer room together in my head from foggy memory
