Does anyone know or have a link to determine the amount of miles you walk in a park?

I've used a pedometer once and clocked it in around 8 miles each day depending on the park. That sounds really bad but you have to consider that it isn't all in one walk. You take lots of sitting breaks and there are the attractions too. :)

Numbers will vary wildly. I have hard numbers fall as low as 4 to as high as 20. Like Steve said, the best thing to do is get a pedometer or similar phone app.

I have always heard you walk an average of 8 miles a day if you go to a Disney theme park for the entire day. Obviously I don't think you could walk 8 miles at HS, but easily could at Epcot. So who knows. Like Steve said get a pedometer. We all would be curious as well to see what you walk at the various parks.

A "simple" walk around EPCOT is 2.31 miles.

It's actually not great exercise at all.

A leisurely stroll spread out over the course of 6-8 hours that never gets your heart rate above resting isn't doing much for you.

Then consider a single Disney snack can have close to a thousand calories, and you'll realize how silly the myth of "I'll just walk it off" really is.

Touring the parks can at least burn a lot of calories, even if it's not good cardiovascular exercise.

When I'm at WDW I eat a lot more (b/c on the DDP), and I skip the 3-mile runs plus time in the gym I'd normally do at home. But I don't gain any weight, because of all the walking around in the parks.

Lots of averages here but to ballpark it, walking at a 3 mph pace for a 160 pound male will burn roughly 250 calories per hour.

A single Dole Whip is 240 calories, 64 grams of carbs.

Walking won't make a dent in the average Disney diet.

I say just go and have fun, eat what you want and worry about the diet when you get home.

But don't fool yourself and think "I'm walking it off".

It seems to work for me, but I can't speak for others.

In any case I agree with your advice to enjoy your vacation and not worry about it (unless you're there long enough to gain so much weight that you can't fit in your clothes anymore).

My 3ds clocked in at like 19,300 something steps as the most I'd take in a day. Usually it was around 15,000 something. 3ds isn't all that accurate though.

10000 steps is close to 5 miles found here
here is an Excerpt
"The average person's stride length is approximately 2.5 feet long. That means it takes just over 2,000 steps to walk one mile,"
