Does anyone keep a parkmap collection?

My kids used to grab extras to hand out to their friends when we got back from a trip.

I wish I still had my 1972 vintage map. My friends and I used to pour over that thing making up fun. Aah...the '70's.....

Big yes.
I have sets going back to 1982.
The 80s Guide Maps were wonderful.
Some of my faves :

EPCOT Center original 1982 cardstock *wheel map* ( original 1st version )
EPCOT Center 1983 cardstock * wheel map * ( second version, inner visual difference )
MK 1985 Guide Map ( more like a detailed booklet, with lots of photos and through descriptions of all attractions)
Disney/MGM Studios Dec 1989 Guide Map ( two versions, both with different early photos )
EPCOT 25th Anniversary map ( only availible Oct 1st 2007 at the Park )

It is interesting when you have been visiting the Parks often and collect the Guide Maps over the years. The changes are very pronounced, and the different attitudes in marketing the Parks and attractions over the years becomes clear when looking them over.

Today*s Guide Maps are so simplified compared to the info-packed versions of yore. Sign of the times...and it just shows most Guests already read up on their visit long before entering the Parks.

I had maps all the way from the 15th anniversary, but after I left for the Army, my sister decided to play with the ones she found. So now all I have left is late 90's to now. I have started adding the other language ones to the collection as well. I wish I could come up with a cool way to display them.

Hey does anyone keep a parkmap collection? I happen to love collecting them. I have a huge stack of them in my room. The oldest one I have is the Epcot 30th one they gave out. I used to have an old Magic Kingdom one but I lost it.:(
Yes I get the customized Park maps each year. I have not yet ordered them for this year with the New Fatasyland.

I wish I did! It must be really interesting to see and compare how the maps have changed over the years. It's one thing to see it online but having that paper map in front of you makes a lot easier to spot the differences. Who knew you can collect so many different things at Disney World?
