Does anyone ever get startled by the monorail?

So I've always recognized that certain vehicles sound a certain way. I could tell you a ford horn from a Chevy from a Toyota. The monorail has its own sound as well. I'm no musician, but was that a b flat?

I get startled whenever I enter them now, because of how dirty they are; how many people they jam pack into them; and the lack of working AC.

Isn't that one the lime-o-rail? Great fluorescent colour regardless, maybe hence the futurist association.

My EPCOT monorail will always be the yellow one, based on the classic postcard that adorned my wall way back in 1982, for you young whippersnappers, that's when Lincoln was president:

So nice to see the entrance of EPCOT without the monoliths. The gardens, while nothing crazy here, were at least inviting (and I'm sure now they'd have elaborate flower displays in them).

When I went with my mother the monorail started up and she got startled and hit the reverse on her scooter. Bumped the doors (gently). Funny now, not then. Needless to say from then on out I drove the scooter on the monorail for her and helped her into a seat. LOL

I can hear it coming, and many times see it. Even so, that whooshing sound is unmistakable and I'm never startled by it. Heck, I'm thrilled by it.
