Does anyone else skip breakfasts entirely?

The last three Disney trips I've been on, we've skipped breakfast, at least from Disney, altogether. We love to go to various restaurants on property but it seems like the morning hours are better spent getting into position to rope-drop various things. As a result, our morning routine never makes time for breakfasts but instead we make coffee in the hotel room and take that and a cliff bar or something and make a bee-line for the buses. I read about people spending all this money for character breakfasts or paying big money for Boma or whatever and have a hard time understanding why people would devote their time to this.

Then again, in the "real" world I'm also kind of a coffee and banana in the car on the way downtown type person anyway.

We aren't big on Disney breakfasts either. We tried Kona for the first time this past Jan. We always have coffee and toast bagels in the room and enjoy the balcony before we head out.

Its enough food for us and I don't mind saving the cash for something else!

We are the same way. My husband loves Donald's breakfast, thou. I just eat yogurt & coffee in the morning. So paying out of pocket for Donald's is a waste for me. We do schedule breakfast before the animal kingdom opens. So we are done by the time it opens. The rest of our days we skip breakfast.

I can't skip breakfast, but we never make plans for it either. We'll eat poptarts or granola bars on our way out, and tend to eat lunch and dinner on the earlier side. I enjoy a hearty breakfast here and there, but when spending money on dining at Disney, I'd rather save it for more extravagant foods!

Mom always said breakfast was the most important meal of the day:)

We generally do what you describe. We eat in the room before heading out or eat something quick on the move. It's hard to get the kids to eat once we get to the parks when they want to be doing rides. On our last trip we did a Crystal Palace breakfast at 8am before MK opened. It was pretty good. The kids loved the characters and even ate some food. Since we had a big breakfast we skipped lunch that day and just had snacks.

I takes us about 2 hrs to get to Disney in the morning, so we end up stopping for breakfast at the newly renovated Canoe Creek service stop on the turnpike. We only pay for 1 meal at Disney- dinner. We pack our lunches and get a treat somewhere around 3p.

We are huge fans of breakfast, especially at Disney LOL We rarely do lunch, with the exception of lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern one day during our stay, so we do skip breakfast that one day. It's easier to fill up on breakfast, enjoy the day, then have a later dinner.

I forgot to add... With all rooms having refrigerators now, I'm going to buy some yogurt & eat that before we go to the parks. I'll totally feel better than I usually do when we don't eat until 11 in the morning.

I'm very much like @DisneyDebNJ - I like a nice TS breakfast maybe snack in the parks OR a TS lunch that's no more than appetizers (i.e. a more formal snack) and then a TS dinner. Plus, if you time your TS breakfasts on the early side in a good spot, it shouldn't compromise any of your park time...it might actually give you an advantage!

Example 1: If I do the 8:05am at CRT, I'm likely done with my meal between 8:45-8:55am. So, instead of standing at the entrance to the park waiting for rope drop, I'm waiting on the edge of Fantasyland for the park to officially open. So, if anything, well timed meals in the park can actually give you an edge on the people waiting outside.

Example 2: If you do the 7am at Chef Mickey's (or really any TS spot offering a 7am), you can make it to any park before rope drop with time to spare.

Example 3: With the exception of 1900 PF (starts at 8) and the handful that start at 7am, all of the other outside of the park breakfast TS start serving at 7:30a. I could easily eat breakfast at Kona at 7:30am and make it to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop.

I typically grab a danish and get hot chocolate or juice out the food court (if at all). Otherwise, I skip breakfast entirely (especially when I am going to HS in the morning - RnRC on a full stomach is tragic). I usually skip breakfast and eat a heavier lunch before the lunch hour(s) rush begins.

I haven't been in years, but I am determined that I will get one Mickey waffle during our trip in June. Other than that, we're not morning people, so we'll probably be eating protein bars on our way to the bus stop for our first meal of the day. :)

I am not big into the early mornings. My grandkids think you are depriving them if they don't get breakfast but they are okay with a muffin and juice for those mornings when we are trying to be in the park before 10 am. I like breakfast that we eat around 10-11, sort of brunch.... we like to stay up late and do parks at night too so late breakfasts work for us.

I'm a Continental Breakfast kind of guy. Just give me a fruit cup, a bagel, or doughnut, and a cup of coffee and I'm good to go. I do though, occasionally have the breakfast platter at Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavillion after riding Soarin. It's like I have to have a least one Meat inclusive breakfast per vacation ie Sausage & or bacon and some toast and scrambled eggs.

Sometimes my son will have some dry cereal or a Poptart in the room, but unless we have a character meal booked, we generally just fill our mugs with coffee to drink while waiting for the bus. Then I wipe down and clip the mugs to my purse. We like to get to the parks while the crowds are still light. We then have an early lunch because by eleven we are starving :hungry:.

On the day we transfer to Universal or going home and on a random day we stay in (like the 2nd Epcot day) I like a sit-down breakfast. If I'm going to the parks at opening I need a coffee and either a protein bar or breakfast sandwich to eat on the go.

I'm the same way in the real world. I run out the door with a coffee and grab a bagel w/cream cheese around the corner. Then on the weekend I will sit down and enjoy myself.

No, I don't skip breakfast. I don't do table service for breakfast though except for 1991. What I do is order at the food court at the hotel I stay at as a counter service or as a snack for breakfast. The fact is getting a cinnamon roll for breakfast isn't time consuming compare to a table service.

I did a table Service at WDW for Breakfast at WDW was in 1991 because of the WDW trip I was on actually was a trip won by a family member. When you win a free trip to WDW that includes several things including 3 free table services a day, you would be a for not trying to take advantage of everything that your free trip to WDW includes.

We never did breakfast prekids - fruit, breakfast bars and coffee on the go. My DD would be fine with the same but my DS front loads the day he eats tons of food from breakfast to lunch and then eats a tiny dinner. If we didn't have a full meal at breakfast it would be a meltdown from hunger.

Breakfast makes me sick. Sometimes i can handle a muffin and juice or milk. So I'm in the skip breakfast crowd. I may try a tonga toast in a couple weeks.
