I agree, I can't think of anywhere else feasible to make Grand Cayman a stop. Galveston is the most likely choice.

Not that they are the same as cruise ships, but just about anything that is shipped to the Grand Caymans comes out of Florida. Even though they are a British holding, their money is tied to the US dollar.

Grand Caymans don't exactly have a super port. I believe it is two docks for shipping (maybe one). All the cruise ships have to tender in.

I received a survey YESTERDAY asking me to evaluate my recent cruise with DCL. In the survey, it asked how likely it was that I choose certain cruise iteneraries. Some of the iteneraries included sailings from New York & Galveston. The Galveston itenary was the current Western Caribbean itenerary save Canaveral of course. The 7 day New York itenerary included Bermuda, Castaway Cay, & Charleston, SC. There was also an 8 day NY itenerary that I can't recall.

So there appears to be some basis for the rumors.

My onboard booking agent said that we should know something by April.

Excellent! I got a similar survey last year after my Med cruise. I couldn't remember the ports. I was hoping a New York cruise might go to Bermuda!

I do remember at the time they were asking about Asia, and Eastern Med cruises also.
