Disney has created MANY classic dark rides...

But here's the question. Does a dark ride have to have a track?

This is an ongoing debate on another forum, & I'd like the opinion of the WDW Magic experts.

Yer, but it also isn't a dark ride. It's a drop tower with dark ride effects.

Let's get technical!

You never actually drop on tower. You are pushed up and down, no falling. So, TECHNICALLY you are not dropping and TECHNICALLY you are on a track the whole time.

How's that for a wrench in the gears of argument?

I consider that a track.

Technically, I believe it does not. But I voted by my personal definition, where I believe it does. 'Course, then my definition of a track comes into play. . .

I vote for my personal definiton of a DUCK being a tower attraction at a theme park that looks like a hotel. So, it isn't a track either. TOT is a DUCK. No matter what you say or how it is explained by words in the so-called "English Language" -- it is still a DUCK. No, I won't change my mind. I won't even entertain the idea that it isn't a DUCK. It's just a DUCK. :hurl:
