Do you usually have 3 table service meals a day?

I agree with everything you have said here.

I think on our next trip we might try just grabbing a snack for breakfast and then do an early TS lunch in the parks and then a nice signature meal for supper. This way you can choose to either stay in the park for supper or head to a resort.

This is what we do and it works very well for us!!

Ok, I'll stick out like a sore thumb and say that we do DDP, and eat 3 table service a day on many days. Not every day, because we do eat at some signature or show dinners that take 2 meals. At home I only eat maybe 2 meals a day...sometimes just one. But at Disney, I love to plan around the meals. I of course only eat a small portion of the food, but I love the dining experience, so we live it up for all its worth. We have been known toward the end of the trip to cancel a few meals just because we get so tired of eating. But I like having the option.

For me, the best meal plan would be 2 table service meals and 1 quick service every day. We are always sad that Disney doesn't off that one. But we are more than happy to do the DDP because it's our one time a year that we go all out for vacation! Other vacations we just eat granola bars and one restaurant meal a day.

I agree with all of what you said...everyone should do and get out of a vacation what you want. We all work very hard all year to be able to have these vacations and we should get what we want. We dont eat this way at home either...but like to go all out on vacation. Heck why not!!! :D

Thanks. I have to say, I also diet all year just to get to the point that I can eat like that at Disney! The first year, I gained about 5 pounds over 5 days...Holy cow. Last year I actually lost weight though...I think it was all that running for fastpasses. I also figured out that second year that the only way to survive the deluxe plan is to not eat everything on your plate. Just a few bites of each course is sufficient. But getting back to eating like normal when you come home is rough...

We never do 3, as has been noted it is entirely to much food. We grab something light in the morning like a piece of fruit, do QS around 1 and then have TS around 7 or 8 in the evening. We always have snack credits left, which is nice because we stock up on Disney Gummis to take home.

3 meals on the DDP a day would be tough! We have found just eating one table service meal, one counter service, and a snack we somehow manage to gain 5 lbs. by the end of a weeks stay.

We do a TS meal once a day, mostly dinner. Even on the DDP, we didn't eat all that was offered. I think three times we dd a CS meal along with a TS. We saved the snack credits for the last full day of our vacation, and walked around the kiosks in Epcot during the food and wine festival. Still had lots left, but three sit downs a day, WOW. Not only would that be time consuming, but I would have to be rolled back to the airport at the end of my stay!! LOL Enjoy!!!:sohappy:

Until they offer a plan with 2 table service a day, we always do 3 for several reasons that I forgot to mention earlier:
- We like to do sit-down character breakfasts, but don't want it to be our only meal of the day. This is why 2 table service a day would be perfect...a breakfast and dinner would be ideal for us.
- We like to do at least one show meal and one signature, but we don't want to have to skip meals on other days in order to do it.
- We want to option of eating at all our favorite restaurants!

For us too, with 2 little kids, it's so nice to get to relax in an air conditioned spot without having to fight for food like I feel we have to do a quick service locations. All the standing in line stresses me out...then fighting for a table. Especially when I'm already hot and tired. With table service, we walk right up to the front, usually get seated in less than 10 minutes, then have a nice cool place to regain our energy for the next burst of craziness at the parks. It keeps me and my kids from melting down physically and emotionally. The DH can go for 14 hours straight with no break, but I can't. I've got maybe 3 or 4 hours in me before I start getting grumpy and stressed. A sit-down meal helps me regain my sanity. Gosh...I sound like such a baby.

We also wouldn't be able to do three ts. Usually we will have something real light for breakfast, cs for lunch around noon, and ts for dinner around five or six.

We usally do only one table service meal a day and eat the rest in the room (DVC). Most of the time the table service meal is dinner, but we try to mix in other meals during our 5 night stay.

We do the deluxe for the same reason and also DH say we dont eat fastfood at home I am not eating it on vacation. I hate having to stand in line to order my food and then wait for it to be trayed up after sitting under a warming light then walk around holding my try to find a table...in a not so cool open aired resturant. NOT for us. We dont feel like we are missing anything by eating 2 sit down meal a day. We like aslo to spend time at the our resort...so we like staying deluxe all the way around.

We usually do only 1 TS a day...
but I will admit I'd love to do more... there are so many nice restaurants to eat at and so little time to enjoy them!!!!
Our trips are usually short & sweet (1 week including travel time from PA)
We try to make the most of our time in the parks.

We usually do one a day, that is for dinner. Now the exception is we will do a couple of ts breakfasts during our stay, that being either chef mickey's or another character breakfast but that is it.

You're right, we did that on our last trip - buffet breakfast then lunch and dinner at table service restaurants - waaaay too much food! This trip we're still doing the deluxe but eating at no buffet breakfasts, eating at more counter service places and spreading out our reservation times. Last time, we never got a chance to get hungry let alone use our snack credits. We had something like 35 dining credits to use on our last day!

i've never done 3 sit down meals at disney in a day, takes up to much of what we call "mickey minutes". we do 2 sit downs if we happen to do a pre park opening breakfast and then like an 8-9pm dinner. we like doing signature dinners. if we don't do breakfast we usually either snack during the day or grab something quick. when we go during summer months sometimes we will do a sit down lunch just to get out of the heat w a guaranteed seat in air conditioning but then the parks are open until 1-3am w emh. the only other exception we sometimes make is on our last day of our trip we will sometimes do a sit down lunch for a break then a nice dinner after the parks close to stretch our vacation just a little longer (we drive so there's no airplane to catch). 3 sit downs would feel to me like going from one reservation to the next all day rather than spending any time in the parks.

never have, too much food; even when on dcl, we didn't take all 3 meals. When we had the deluxe plan, we would have a show or signature meal every day.

I usually do 3 table service a day, breakfast is usually at the hotel dinning.especially when you stay on the monorail line, lunch at the park and dinner is at one of the other resorts or downtown Disney which is open till later.

We had a few days last trip where 3 TS meals were planned. The quantity of food wasn't the issue- it was how time consuming it all was. Early breakfasts and late dinners were not problems as long as the locations were well situated for our park/recreation plans; however, lunch would kill the day. DH suggested I book TS lunch ADRs for our upcoming trip, but I will likely cancel all but one since I think getting by on snacks and maybe CS mid day is the better plan.

We've done it before. Never regularly, but once or twice in a week's time. You can have three sit-down meals and still eat lighter food. You don't have to lick your plate clean, either. We tend to eat dinner late while on vacation, though. I wouldn't want to do it if I didn't have at least six or seven hours between meals. 8:00 AM breakfast, 2:00 PM lunch, 9:00 PM dinner? Totally doable. I haven't planned a day like that on our last couple trips, though.
