Do You Think We'll Have Time Do Anything Before Lunch?

So, most days of our trip are going to be pretty relaxed, but the morning/early afternoon of day 2 is busy with treats for our girls and I'm not sure if it's even worth trying to do anything in between said treats.

We have an 8:20am ressie at Crystal Palace for breakfast, we have a 10am appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the castle for some "princessification"- we need to arrive 15 early for that + I need to get the girls into costume before that - after BBB we'll likely do pictures and then we have lunch at CRT at 12:20.

Obviously, if we do anything extra before we're done with CRT- it will have to be in Fantasyland. We have 3 days in the MK planned for this trip, so it's not like this will be our only day in the park, but I'd still like to make the most of our time. Anyone have any thoughts on this or suggestions?

It will probably take at least an hour at BBB if you do the hair & makeup package.
I would suggest taking some pics of them dressed up around the castle.
Some areas of interest may be - the wishing well & the fountain.
A pic on the carousel would be cute too!
Also, I have always thought that it would be cute to take a pic of the "newly dressed up princess" in front of the long mirror in the BBB lobby - you could have each girl peer into the mirror at herself & snap a pic from the side.
Another suggestion for a pic would be to take the stairs when you are going up to the CRT restaurant.
There are some beautiful stained glass windows that you could use as a back drop.

Yeah, not really leaving much time in betweem , plus with 3 trips to MK no need to go commando. Maybe hit a favorite ride or 2 in Fantasyland and take a bunch of pictures.

You may have for Philharmagic or a spin on the carousel, but I'd definitely take my time at BBB and enjoying that scene as much as possible....

You're probably just going to have to play this by ear. There is no way to know how long BBB will take. We were unlucky and had a long wait...they did not actually take my daughter until about 45 minutes after her appt time. I'm sure that does not happen often, but you never know. I honestly don't remember how long the actual process took....I was too "in the moment" to pay attention. It was such an awesome experience for me as well as my daughter! Like others have said, you can eat up alot of time taking pictures after your BBB appointment before it is time for your lunch. We have amazing pictures of my little princess by the fountain, wishing well, and just about every side of the castle!

You know your own family of course, but are you really going to need a full breakfast at 8.20 and lunch at 12.20? If we have a breakfast we aren't ready to eat again until evening, apart from possibly an ice cream or something.

Time-wise it seems to fit in pretty well, your pictures will be lovely :king:

Wow, sounds like an expensive day!

You will not have much time. I usually leave about 1 1/2 hours for any table service meal, and with CP having characters it will take all of that time. Then you will head right off to BBB. That was about 1 1/2 hours by the time we checked in and the whole thing happened and you get out on your way. You will be just about ready to check into CRT at that point.

I personally would not do a buffett breakfast and then have a big lunch 3 1/2 hours later. That is a lot of food. If you want to lighten your schedule, then hit the Main St Bakery when arrive at MK and have a light breakfast on the way into MK.

That's actually a very good point. That's a lot of food to start the day off.

3 days planned for the Magic Kingdom?

How many attractions do you plan to do multiple times?

I'm no expert on here, but when we go to the World (usually during Spring Break) we accomplish every attraction in each park within a days time.

It may sound like a lot of food and an expensive day (did I mention we also have a dinner ressie that day as well :lookaroun), but it's not about the $ or being hungry. It's all about the experience. DH and I have been to WDW plenty of times, but this is our girls' first trip. While the girls will go back to WDW lots of times, they're only going to have one first trip...so we're making it ultra special. Plus, it won't be long before they realize these are just actors in costumes, so we want as many character experiences as possible. They can be impatient at times, so a character meal is ideal (vs. waiting on line for meet and greets). This is why 5 of our 11 ressies are character meals (hey- we initially had 6 ).

So, it sounds like a spin on the carousel might be all we can work in. If not, it will just be extra time to get the girls in costume pre BBB and plenty of time to load up my memory card with pics post BBB. Honestly, it's such a special morning that it won't be very upsetting if we can't do anything until after CRT- I was just trying to gauge. Now I just have to stay strong so I'm not a blubbering mess  during the whole thing...I seriously see myself bawling my eyes out when they meet Cindy- yes- I'm a sap. :ROFLOL:

Thanks for the thoughts everyone!

MK is the only park we're duplicating during the trip. Our kids are young and things take a while + this trip is more for them than us and MK is where they're going to be happiest- so we decided to triple up on days for MK. If it were just myself and DH or if our kids were older, hitting everything in one park in one day would be no big deal, but younger kids typically require a much slower pace.

Fyi...you might consider not putting them in their costumes before your BBB appointment. After you check in at BBB, they will take you to a dressing room, even if you brought your own dress (we also brought our own). The dressing rooms are fancy, and it is part of the fun!

We always do three days at MK as well. When we take 7 day trips, we usually do 3 at MK, 2 at Epcot, 1 at DHS or AK, and one non park day. And I still end the trip feeling like we did not get enough time in the MK! It has nothing to do with accomplishing every attraction. We just love being there! And like the OP mentioned, when you have younger kids, things take a bit longer. We still take afternoon breaks at our resort every day.

Good to know! When I booked they made it sound like dressing rooms would only be available if we did the Castle Pkg. We plan on buying the costumes while at WDW, but the girls don't need every single accessory that comes with that pkg- so we just went for the Crown pkg. Thanks!
