Theres been speculation on in the threads of DHS receiving the next big refurb investment after the FLE is completed, so it is possible that TLM show could go away. Still, its a popular show so it would probably be lower on the ladder for replacement (with Sounds Dangerous at the top).

I would doubt it (with no back up info, just the fact that I would be sad to see it go and hope it does not)

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and TSMM.
Finding Nemo Musical and Seas w/Nemo.

there are other attractions that have more than one spot in WDW. Hopefully Little Mermaid show and ride will coexist!

I actually thought that was the implication, since both the ride and the show are called the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. At least one would have to be renamed.

Here's what I'd like to see:

TLM ride opens in MK
VOTLM show closes at DHS
Beauty & the Beast show, combining live actors and AA castle characters, takes over VOTLM in DHS
Beauty & the Beast stage show closes at Hollywood Hills Theater
DCA's spectacular Aladdin stage show opens at Hollywood Hills Theater (better than B&tB... trust me)

Hmmm... nice thoughts... and while I'd LOVE to see Aladdin in FL... I really don't think Hollywood Hills Theater is the place for it. It needs something much more elaborate... and probably indoors.

It's not *quite* the same name, but I agree that they're similar enough that there could potentially be confusion. (Especially once they start advertising the new attraction and people get in line at the Studios thinking they're about to go on the new ride...)
Last I saw, the new attraction is "Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid".

Oh, and while we're talking names, the theater where Beauty and the Beast is located is the Theater of the Stars.
The Hollywood Hills Amphitheater is where Fantasmic is performed.

TSWNAF at Epcot didn't stop Finding Nemo: The Musical from leaving AK now did it.

I think it's the other way around.

I really think BatB might exit once the restaurant opens up and it gets replaced with (and I'm hoping for...) Villains Tonight!

TLM at DHS might be SOL, unless FLE at MK turns out to be DOA. Knowing TDO, the whole thing might be FUBAR. They'd be LOL while our hopes RIP. OMG FML!

I'd like to see Aladdin come to Theater of the Stars (Beauty & the Beast).

I also think that a Princess & the Frog show would be nice for a Voyage of the Little Mermaid replacement...depending on how well Princess & the Frog holds up in the long run. It had some great musical numbers, could be done very similarly to how Little Mermaid was done with live acting and puppetry. I also think that a swamp/bayou theme in the preshow room and Tiana's Place in the inside theater would fit well...or something like that.
