Do you think Ratatouille would have been more suited to Epcot than Paris?

So i visit the Ratatouille attraction in Paris last month, and really enjoyed it. It's by no means a top tier attraction, but sure enough beats most of the attractions Disney has at it's Orlando parks. The theming of the area was wonderful - a replica of a Parisian town.

But there's something slightly silly about building a Parisian town in erm Paris, when just outside the gates you can get that vibe already. But it would make a fantastic addition to Paris in Epcot, if they revamped the area with this attraction.

Hope so... I went all the way to Paris (not just to see that) and spent a good hour and a half in lines (3 times) to see it only to have it break down just before I got to board it. (all three times) I finally just gave up and attempted to see some of the other things in the Paris Park.

Disney California Adventure.. yeah.. having a whole theme park themed to California in California is not silly? I'd love for it to come to Epcot as I want nothing more than each country to have an actual ride each but I think it fits in Paris just fine.

A Disneyfied version of a Parisian street in Paris is just as sensible as a Disneyfied American Main Street in the US parks.

In fact, it makes more sense in Paris, where it has a special significance. In WDSP. EPCOT's France, by contrast, doesn't suit RAT whatsoever. It is no more Ratatouille's Paris than the American Pavilion is Oliver & Co's New York.

Luckily, Rat is a fun ride, but the ride mechanism is not dependent on the Ratatouille IP. It can be changed for virtually anything. And hopefully cranked up a bit. Rat is too tame.

I kind of agree. I thought it didn't make much sense putting it in a park that already is in Paris. Like you said you can just go see that architecture and beauty anywhere outside the park. I've slowly started to hate the idea of cloning, but I think it would be nice if it came to Epcot. There's still a part of me that feels it would fit better there than in Paris, but it's not an amazingly incredible outstanding ride, but I think it would be a good fit for Epcot.

I think it is appropriate for Paris as I feel they probably need an attraction that the movie focused on there city. The France area in Epcot could definitely use something more and possibly themed with Ratatouille or even the AristoCats, but in a smaller scale.

I would love to see it in EPCOT too. And I have to disagree - our family definitely felt it was a "top tier attraction"!

I would love for it come to Epcot. My fear is they would remove the film for the ride and I adore the film. So I should be careful what I wish for.

If anything it could very well be adjacent to France expanding on the Chefs du France left side...And it would fit well with the theming...

I loved the movie, and the ride looks awesome. And I have no problem with something like this going into Epcot. The movie was SET in France, and a more or less realistic France, at that. If you ask me, from a thematic standpoint: Ratatouille in France in Epcot YES, Frozen in Norway: NO. But that's just me.

Don't you understand that now on my semi-regular weekend jettings to Paris I will have nothing different to see? Can't we have some concern over those with large wallets and give us something special in every park. All the peasants have to do is work harder and they can get to all the parks whenever they want. It's called incentive.
