Tokyo Disney has or will be getting this show called "Mickey's Magical Music World" and it made me think about the WDW shows with stages. I loved when Disney had the live Pixar Orchestra, it was a nice refreshing thing for Hollywood Studios. I know Japan as well may not have many newer shows, but it would be nice to see something different.

I'd like to see more production style shows. Broadway type things. BatB, Aladdin, Lion King type stuff. Put into permanent buildings in locations across the resort. 3 or 4 places (maybe Boardwalk, maybe near AK, maybe in the parks).

Still heartbroken over the cancellation of a new theater in Main Street USA.

I would love to see more shows. And either update the older shows or replace them. Beauty and the Beast is still great but Mermaid is so outdated now it's a shame.

I would assume that opex prevents them from going with really over the top shows. Just paying the performers, costumes, training, and insurance let alone upkeep etc. And those costs never end as long as the show is open. Where they can build a new ride have minimal staffing and just upkeep thats necessary. I think the tax write off capabilities for new rides and construction is prob better as well (assumption only)

This isnt an excuse... just the way i feel the parks have gotten. Do the bare min. cut costs everywhere, and staff as minimally as possible.

I always thought then when Disney Quest closed in Downtown Disney that would have been the perfect location and opportunity to put a Broadway theater in Florida. Being at the current Disney Springs, locals could see current Broadway productions on a regular basis. This would be comparable to Cirque D'Soliel. The performers would live nearby and could preform nightly instead of a traveling crew, and the shows could be on a regular rotation, say every 3 to 6 months. This would also benefit the company as a whole in the fact that this would be an upcharged experience instead of the shortened daily park performances. Finally, let's face it, a theater would have been a much better replacement then the under performing NBA experience.

Wonder if Disney ever thought about it, I think the NBA experience was a huge waste personally.

Hong Kong Disneyland just debuted a new castle stage show. I think it's one of the worst Disney stage show ever produced. It's a bunch of live singers singing Disney songs and characters appear. It should be the characters who are singing.

Yes, definitely. Disney desperately needs more entertaining shows throughout property ( And more street performers as well )that provide guests more entertainment. But because of the extra costs they probably arent in any hurry to add them in. The actors were cut before because of the pay range they were getting.

Absolutely! It's always amazing to me that a huge entertainment conglomerate like Disney always drops the ball on live shows in the parks. I would love to see WDW have numerous shows across the resort (maybe even at some hotels as well) every night.
