Do you still feel like the FL expansion is missing something?

Per Jim Hill on this week's podcast.

There was talk of a Princess and the Frog themed shop, but speculation was that it would be overkill.

The belief amongst Disney seems to be the same that I have articulated on these forums. The word "Princess" in the title is steering away the male audience, but as a franchise, the movie is solid because of the large amount of merchandise sales it is doing. Couple that with the release of A Christmas Carol at around the same time, and you probably had the two movies eating into one another's profits.

I would think 4 princess M&G's already would be overkill. But I figure if they're going to go all out with the princess franchise in the expansion, why not include PatP? At least it would involve Facilier who was a pretty wicked villain, and it would also be nice to have Disney's first African American princess involved somewhere, right?

Thanks for the interesting tidbit, RSox. :)

Good point. I don't see where it needs to fit right along side of it. To the east of TLM just put very dense trees and as you gradually walk deeper into the forest throw some moss on the trees and viola, swampland. Haha.

IMHO it fits better than a circus.

Yea TSI could work, but as far as a ride goes, I'm not sure how busy the rafts would get if there was a true D ticket dark ride on TSI. It would clog up that side of Frontierland even worse. I swear trying to manuever those stairs between SplMtn and BTMRR on a busy day is a hazard.
Good point, but from what we can see, it looks like it will be removed enough not to be clashing with it. It'll be a miniland.
