Do you miss spectromagic?

Got back from Disney about a month agao (Disney BLUES!!!!) and, although i enjoyed seeing a new parade, i felt it just was not that same without hearing Speactromagic!

It wasn't necessarily the parade floats but i just missed hearing the music. Same with Wishes!

I understand why a lot of you people on here are excited about it being back, because i suppose it reminds a lot of you of your childhood memories (... Not saying anyone is old.....) But for me my first time was 5 years ago, so Spectro is how Electrical parade is for a lot of you guys.



How do you guy's feel about it?






P.s, I don't miss those creepy Masked clowns at the beginning of spectro though

I grew up on the Electrical parade and will always love it. But I love Spectro and wish it was back.

I grew up seeing Spectro more than MSEP, but I've always preferred MSEP. Spectro has always failed to REALLY impress me and I thought the white lights were VERY tacky. The floats seem sort of....I don't know, random to me. The lights aren't as well done as MSEP, especially the new version. The music is my biggest issue though. A parade's music should get people clapping and dancing along, not strike them with wonder and "awe," we have plenty of other shows to do that. That's what Fireworks and live shows are for. I need something...peppy, up-beat, exciting. I don't need a symphonic orchestra playing to me when I'm watching a parade, all you normally hear anyway are bands in parades. I don't think "On this Magic Night" is a very good underliner either, "under the sea' feels like it's forced into that particular theme, for one example. I dont' know, "baroque hoedown" just fits, ya know?

I think I like both equally, but I'm glad they gave Spectro a rest for a while. For me though, a light parade is a light parade. They both have some really cool effects mixed in with some crazy randomness (ie the freaky clown guys).

I love MSEP, but I've seen Spectro since my first trip to Disney World. Only once (before summer nightastic) I saw MSEP, thinking "what in the world was this?!" since I never heard of it before. I love the fact that electric is here to stay since it is something differnet for MK, but there is nothing like waiting at night and listening to the music of Spectro.

As much as I love Spectro, the past couple of years that we've gone its been , if we see it we see it , if not no big...So I'm very excited about seeing MSEP, We have never seen it even though we were there when it was many years ago! So we are very excited to see this , its "new" to us!

Do I miss Spectro? Sure I do! I grew to love that parade over the last few years over many anniversary weekends with my wife and birthday weekends.

But I am loving the return of the MSEP! I grew up watching that parade and often wondered if it would ever return. I've seen it a handful of times so far this summer and it's wonderful having it back in the Magic Kingdom!

I'm very excited for this weekend, going to see MSEP from a dinner table at Tony's and going to see the Night-tastic fireworks from the California Grill viewing deck outside! Can't wait for both! :sohappy:

When (if) Spectro comes back I'll welcome it back with open arms and when MSEP finally ends its run at Magic Kingdom, all you'll hear from me is "Goodbye old friend! It was great seeing you again!"
