They will still be showing the special holiday parades and stuff after Christmas. We are going to be there about the 28th or so, and I would really like to see the parades and special stuff.Do they have the regular share a dream come true parade, or are they going to have a holiday one.

AND Is it really cold down in Florida or is it semicold.
Please, comments, and thank-you:cool:

I'm pretty sure it is just the holiday parade and not share a dream come true, but not totally sure.

and about the weather, it is very cold, but only in the morning and on certain days, like today was very cold, tomorrow is supposed to be 8 - 10 degrees warmer

 Thirty degrees and you're cold! You poor thing. Thirty was our high yesterday, punctuated by one half inch of ice on everything.

I can hardly wait for retirement so I can live there and be so cold!!!

Yup, believe it or not, it can get to be very cold. On Thursday morning they are only expecting it to be 36 in downtown Orlando

36 was our HIGH for today...was 12 overnight.

One Feb. we were in WDW & it got down to 27 overnight.

The only place that would have a special holiday parade would be MK, but I really don't think they do during regular park hours just at the Very Merry Party. The decorations are up I think through New Year's.

And on a personal note, I am so sick of northerners telling us we don't know what cold is, um no, actually we just don't know what snow is, jealous? But seriously it gets cold here and we are allowed to say so, but really it depends day to day. And it will be freezing in the morning and warm in the afternoon.

To provide a little reverse perspective here, I went up to Massachusetts this July where the daytime high was around 80 with no humidity, and as soon as I'd get in the car with my friend there, she was whining about how she needed A/C. Having left behind temps approaching 100 with plenty of wetness, I could only smirk. It all just depends on what you get used to and learn to deal with. :)

Yep, it can get freezing around all of Florida in December/January, with some of the coldest times in late December and most of January and February. It'll most likely be very cold when you are there. I'm not sure if they'll have a Christmas parade though. At Epcot, you'll still be able to catch the Holidays Around The World events, with the Candlelight Processional in the evening; Gary Sinise will be the guest narrator during your visit. At the Magic Kingdom, you can still take in the Christmas decor and also visit the Country Bear Jamboree Christmas Show, as well as the Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree Celebrates Christmas show. Most of the Christmas festivities around WDW last until the end of December.:D

alright.. we don't know what cold is.. right.

in that case, I challenge any of the northerners to deal with a full day of 120º+ heat in long jeans, t-shirt, and a pair of boots WITHOUT any water.

You know cold... well I know heat.

Yea, it is far. They made us take our mailbox out front out, and the whole neiborhood uses like, apartment-like mailboxes now and ours is all the way down the street

I live in Northwest Florida and it does get cold here. Even snowed once a few years ago. But it is not as bad as when I was stationed in upper Michigan with the Air Force, I remember days when the highs were sub zero and wind chills to around -70. Now that is cold!

You will really need to watch The Weather Channel closely or at least be a regular visitor to Weather.com. The weather in Florida is very fical. I have been there in various Decembers where the temperatures varied from 40's to 80's in the same week.

And for the rest of you: try living in Virginia. We get the heat and humidity in summer and cold and ice in the winter. Notice how i said "ice" not snow. We get a lot of ice storms. Much more exciting. During the summers we have 90s/100s with 100% humidity, very sticky.

Yeah, I've often watched The Weather Channel and thought that the Mid-Atlantic states seemed to get all the crappy weather on both ends. So much for splitting the difference.

Last month, while we were in WDW, we were watching the weather, and there was going to be a chilly day. The weatherman even said "Wind chills of below 50...winter is here folks."

I had to laugh, because 30 seconds before that they were showing the foot of snow that fell in WI/MN.

I think it's all relative. We don't really get cold up north until it gets below 30 or 20. When it hits 50 we start to think about shorts and t-shirts.

In comparison, southerners are used to the heat, so they don't get hot until it gets above 90 or 100. But you get them much below 60 and they start to shiver.

*just as a note - that next day after the forcast it was about 55 degrees and we saw CM's with winter parkas on.....I had on shorts and they told me I was crazy...until they learned I'm from MN*

I'm currently in Orlando, but I used to be in Conneticut. for the record, I consider stifling heat FAR preferable to accident-causing ice storms. which is why I'm no longer in CT. =P

the mid-Atlantic states have it worst. I have a friend who lives in Baltimore which is surrounded, ya know, by water. the humidity levels are on a daily basis higher than the Central Florida humidity levels (he made a chart comparing the annual weather patterns in an attempt to convince his wife to move to Orlando..).

plus, so much of Central Florida is air-conditioned that if you play it smart you don't have to actually spend much time outside at all. :)

anyway... back on topic.... although I don't have the new schedule in front of me, it appears that we shift from Share A Dream Come True to the X-Mas Parade on the 20th.
