Do you ever recognize other WDWMagic members in the parks?

Just wondering if anyone has chatted here on the boards then ended up meeting up - either planned or purely by accident in the parks.

Do we have a button or a t-shirt, a secret handshake or a code word I should know about for my upcoming trip in April?

I would proudly sport a WDW Magic button on my camera bag if I thought it would help me start a conversation with some of the other members on the boards.

Just promise me you won't make me eat a Dole Whip or start telling me rumours of the new Villians Park :lol:

ha...ha...but you didn't catch me there that time. I did scan the video to see if the same face was lurking in the background of every shot just in case. But imagine how fun it would have been to run into each other there.

I've had both organized "meets" and one-on-one meet-ups with lots of WDWMagicers. Great times and great people. I highly recommend trying to meet others that are there the same time you are.

Throughout the years I have bumped in to various people with shirts and buttons on from here and had mini conversations. Within the last year I have arranged more planned meets with a number of people met through here which can be a great day because of the common interests.

It happens quite often, particularly when there is some event taking place.
Yeah...October 1 should see a pretty large WDWMagic presence at Epcot.

I only know of one really organized meet, back in 2004. Probably fifty or so showed up to hang out and have a private dessert party for Illuminations. Oddly, many are no longer around here.:shrug:

I had a pre-planned dinner with another member (Newfiefan) and her hubby on our September trip last year. That was awesome! We had planned to do the dinner then meet our teenage sons at DHS for evening EMHs but then we got so caught up enjoying the company that we didn't leave the restaurant until like midnight. And, believe it or not, we talked very little about Disney stuff! :lol:


Also, it's looking like we'll be having a pretty decent group of WDWMagic gals for the September 8, 2013 4-night sailing of the Dream. At this moment we officially have 9 staterooms with a total of 20 ladies onboard with 18 months before we sail for more to join. Anyone else wanna hop in??? Here's the info:

I am going to have to seriously look into this. I have a wedding to pay for in July 2013, but this cruise just happens to run over my birthday, and it might have to be my present to myself!

October 1st - Totally got side tracked with the idea of not being able to go in May like we normally do - that it's Epcot's 30th..the anniversary of the day the 21st centrury began...

Best day I have ever spent in a Disney park. I am looking forward to a repeat this year.
