I've come to a realization, the only singular thing we all agree on here is that we all love Disney.

Because of that we all have extremly biased views on Different aspects of Disney... some have strong Nostalgic leanings, others want to see the parks up to date and always new, Some love Animatronics, some love the movies, some love the characters, some love Stage Shows, etc... no matter what subject we discuss, we cannot come to an agreement.

I even set this poll up just to show how different everyone is... and that's OK. Some people seem to be getting upset that we don't see eye to eye on everything, or feel that we should not dislike or should accept every move as the right choice... I'm just trying to say that everyone can have different opinions and still share a love of Disney all the same.

In my poll I ask a question with one answer, I'm sure the answers (although essentally the same) will vary alot. It simply shows that even viewing the same answer everyone sees it a little different. It's culture, and we shouldn't get angered or aggitated when one answer isn't the same as ours... nor should we want to stop differing opinions, just take what we can out of it and grow, or simply let them be.:)

Hope I didn't waste a thread, but I thought it was a worthy post and I wanted to start it.

I voted a simple yes.

I do love Disney, but there are many other more important (sorry) aspects of my life as well.

I love nostalgic Disney but I also like some of the new things they are doing.

I realize that Disney the company can never be anything like Disney the man. That's just the nature of things. I accept them as they are. They're still doing a better job than anybody else out there.

Good idea, Spidey ;)

Hi Spidey, i think it's a great thread ! I voted "yes" , my life is full of other things as well, but Disney is certainly a part of it ! I tend to go the nostalgic way ( in case some of you guys did not know already !:animwink: ), but there are a few new things i enjoy very much : Test track, anything to do with AK , ... I wish Walt could of lived forever but in part he does in every one of us ! I am very grateful for Disney in my life ! It certainly has brought some of my family back together ! :animwink:

I voted for "I love Disney more each day" because I learn a lot every time I log on this site. I thought I loved Disney, but being a CM really showed me how much I didn't know, and then coming to WDWMagic showed me how many people really LOVE Disney as an entertainment comapny, as a vacation destination, as a company, as the symbol of a great man and as an escape, a means of making your wishes come true.

So thank you, Spidey, for this inside view of ourselves, thank you, WDWMagic, for always teaching me something new, and thank you, Walt, for starting it all and giving me so many great memories.

Roddy

Well, most people seem to be answering Yes, It is my life. Overall it is even more spread out than I thought it would be, this is more interesting than I was expecting, and no one has answered two of them, one I understand because of the nature of this site.

I think that if Disney is the most important thing in your life, you may have a few issues :D

I guess I value a lot of things over Disney. Like family, love....life...all that jazz.....living every day for what I can, not for my next Disney trip.

I love Disney World and hope to visit many, many more times in my life. It is such a great family vacation and I have memories dating back to the year it opened. But it's not #1 on my list.

The activities I like more than Disney are:
#1 -- downhill skiing (by far)
#2 -- fishing, diving
#3 -- sailing
#4 -- writing music, playing

If Disney World disappeared, Walt Disney's influence on my life would go on. Although not the most important influence, he has been a great encouragement and has affected the way I do things and pursue my goals and aspirations.

"Things Disney" affect me mainly because they remind me of Walt. THat is why "One Man's Dream" is my favorite attraction. The escapism and fun and entertainment are secondary.

I vote "yes, but not all things Disney". I too, do have other loves. What i love most about Disney is the feelings it gives me. So many different aspects of Disney can bring about an incredible range of emotions, and I love being able experience them all whether i'm at WDW, watching a movie, enjoying the commraderie at this website or just daydreaming about another trip. :)
