Do they sell diapers at the Coronado Springs?

Trying to figure out whether it is worth it to bother packing diapers for the kiddies? Are they easy enough to find (since we won't be renting a car)?

Thanks.

Hey Islock Welcome to the boards!!! I have been to the Coronado Springs a bunch of times. The name of the store within the resort is Panchito's. The phone number for the resort is 407-939-1000. Id call and ask to see what type of diapers they sell (im sure they do) ,in what quantity, and how much it is. I can pretty much bet that they will not be cheap. If you arent renting a car, and dont want to pack them for the trip in ( picture checking that in at the airport!!), Id suggest going with a car service such as Yourride Car Service ( towncars) I know Yourride does a half hour local store stop to pick up snacks, drinks, diapers etc upon request and Im sure most other towncar services would do it also. If you opt for a local Walmarts ( which is in the area!!) Im sure you could pick up any outstanding baby needs such as diapers, formula etc without too much of an issue!! Also Yourride is one of the sponsors of the site ( see the ad on the main page for WWW.WDWMAGIC.COM for a discount coupon) Anything else I can help with please post and Ill do my best to answer!! Belle

If you pack a suitcase with the baby items (diapers, creams, etc.),
you now have an empty suitcase in which you can carry any items that you purchase at WDW. Plus, the cost of the baby items will be a lot less expensive if you purchase them at home rather than at WDW.

I was being nosy in the gift shop this past summer and happened to look at the prices of the diapers they sell at the gift shop at AKL. They were around a dollar a diaper. I think, if I remember correctly, that a pack of 10 diapers was $8.50. Might make you want to somehow squeeze a few of them into each suitcase, huh!

Couldn't agree more. Take them with you, when we looked at the cost at POR last year we were so glad we had brought ours with us.

Plus they appeared to be really big and nasty diapers. No Huggies or Pampers there. :(

Plus the room in the case was soon filled with t-shirts for the trip home. :)

Even if you don't buy a lot, it's nice to have an empty suitcase to use as a dirty clothes hamper.

Or, as Belle suggested, use a car service with a stop. If you have a well planned list in hand, you can buy a lot of things in 30 minutes. Take it from a woman with a black belt in shopping.

I would def. buy them at home. Get the brand you trust and know rather than buying one that you aren't really familiar with and that is twice the price. Wouldn't it be terrible if the diaper you bought on property suddenly ripped or leaked?? (Ewwww...)

I agree, bring from home and use the extra space on the trip home for new things:animwink: . Or stop at the store and buy there, I really reomend this. Town car services are much better then Mears and just getting bottled water can save you 30$:sohappy: It is so great just to go right to your resort with out having to drop off others 1st.

We won't take Your Ride this year, we had a problem with car seats last time. But we will take a town car service.

Last year while visiting Y&B we discovered we forgot to bring any diapars with us, and boy did we need one. We looked all over for another couple with a 2 year old, can you belive we couldn't find one? Anyway our choices were one package of 10 huggies (a size too small for her) for 8.50, 1 swim dipar for 1.50 or 3 pull ups for 2.00. We got the pull ups since we only needed one. (now she loves wearing pull ups, but won't use the potty, that is another story.) Bring your own swim dipars too, you will need them if you want you baby to go in any pool at all, and often need more then one per trip to the pool.
