Do "sponsors" have too much control over EPCOT attractions?

How much control?

Disneyland used to sell Coke and Pepsi in different parts of the park. The Golden Horseshoe Review was sponsored by Pepsi. Coke didn't like that. There is now no Pepsi, and the show disappeared. You decide.

Fuji Film offered to pay the ENTIRE cost of the Mt. Fuji Rollercoaster at the Japan Pavillion. Kodak objected. No Rollercoaster. Now THATS sponsor power.

How about getting the company that manufactures Viagra to sponser the Wonders of Life Pavillion. I'm being totally serious.

That is what it may come to, getting a pharmacuetical company to sponsor...they seem to have the deepest pockets.

There was a clause in the Imagination contract that required a new ride be created for the year 2000. So even though the old attraction was fine, they needed to make something new.

Seaworld July 2nd
Let me know what you think of this. I usually am of the opinion that when somone tries to copy Disney it comes off 5th rate. But I planned on seeing the show in the coming weeks (after 4th of July crowds are gone)

The videos I have seen look impressive. They use large fountains, which I have always felt were missing from ROE (could you imagine if ROE had Bellagio style fountains....that would be so cool)

I heard the story presented during Mistify is a bit lame, but I can get over that.

I will take pics and post, along with a review.

Hmm...doesn't sound like a good time to refurb "The Making of Me"

That would be sweet if they had fountains that shot the wter up higher with more of it.

What did you think of Odysea? Good, but defintely low brow compared to Cirque. But then again you don't have to pay $75 to see it

I think the AB parks have always done pretty decent in-park entertainment. And, you get what you pay for. Oddysea is a good upgrade from the old show, and yes, pales in comparison to La Nouba, but then again, it is much cheaper to visit SeaWorld and get a park full of shows than go to La Nouba. The new show at BGT (Katonga) is almost Broadway quality.

Was it though? I thought the main turntable was buckling due its size.. I`m sure Grizz or Lee mentioned this..
