i just wanted to know what other people thing about fastpass and the other line that it makes i mean it works for some rides and then the others are just useless like at haunted mansion does anyone agree with me that fastpass lines just make more of a hazzle b/c the reason fastpass and single rider lines were invented was to make lines move and now they just make more trouble and a larger line for people in stand by i mean the lines are going to be long anyways i just say we get rid of fastpass completely and single rider lines i mean again for some rides otheres it works for but i know from expericence that it just kills the rest of the line b/c no matter how quick it gets you on the line it has to cut into the other peoples time no matter what not like it use to when you just wait on line for the right exact time and get on the ride okay now i'll shut up :zipit: its your turn to say what you think

I would like to see Fast Pass gone. Everyone should be equal. First come first served. I always get a Fastpass but feel somehow guilty when passing others that have been waiting patiently.
Single rider line makes sense. How many times are you in line when the CM starts looking deeper in the line for a single rider?

I personally like Fast Pass. With two small children, waiting in line is not a pleasant experience. So we can get the pass, and then go walk around if nothing else until it's our turn to ride the ride or watch the show.

I also am a fan of Baby Pass. Same reason.

(Forgot to say that those people who do not have small children are probably glad we aren't in the regular waiting line either. Nothing like a whiny child to get on everyone's nerves.)

"First come first served."

That is why Fastpass is there! If you don't want to wait in line, take one. If you do, don't. All of the people in line were given the option. It's a wonderful feature - and there's no reason to feel any guilt.

After all, you *do* wait with a Fastpass between the time you get it and the time you wait in line. If anything, it gives you more to do at the park.

My experience has always been good - except in Pooh. Otherwise, with RnRC, ToT, Splash Mountain - it's worked like a charm. Just like Early Entry! Makes me wanna go back. :)

Magic Happens Tip: Get a group of Fastpasses and hand it to a few guests who are waiting in the regular line during a long wait. :) Hopefully, it won't be a hassle changing lines and walking back out. :lookaroun

Everyone has the option to get one or wait, or get one and wait, then ride again. It is as fair as it gets.

Granted, some people don't understand it or choose not to use it, but everyone is capable of using it.

When using Fastpass you are waiting in line... a virtual one. That's why you have to come back later in the day. So why not let the computer hold your place in line and get in more Disney fun instead of standing in line?

but i have to agree with no fast pass in some places not all like griz said they work in some places...
my expericence w/ it is haunted mansions should be removed i never in my life seen that ride w/ a long wait until they put the fastpass in.... test track's doesn't work for the fact it sometimes breaks down and then what happens when you have a fastpass for that time or your already on line w/ it now you are waiting the hours like everyone else but i have to agree sometimes it works like in the case of rnrc or splash and big thunder b/c they had the 2 sepreate lines already

I was originally against FastPass when I heard about it coming to WDW, but after using it, it is so much better now. Especially if you know how to use the system. Get a fast pass for one ride and then go on a standby for another ride or have lunch/dinner. Usually, by the time you are finished with that, it's time to use your fastpass. It gives you alot more time to do what you want to do without wasting alot of time standing online.

Good example...get a fast pass for RnRC at MGM and then go do ToT. Usually, by the time you finish at ToT, you can go right on RnRC. Or, if you want to do RnRC twice...get a fastpass and then go stand in the standby line....once you get through the first time, it should be time to use your fastpass so you can get right back on....

Sure people have alot of other good tips for getting the best use of FastPass as well....

I never considered Rides breaking down, that won't alter a FastPas time but does affect those in line. Very good point.

Yea... some rides it just isn't necessary. Now, Peter Pan... it is.

very agreeable point spider same thing can be said for many of the rides that have them but others like: hm space mountian (b/c lets admit that ride is still going to always have an hour line that is always going to be start by where stitch is coming and aec went) test track(works sometimes) kaili river rapids (just b/c i don't think there is enough people to ride it) and one more that i can think of also at DAK dinosaur (b/c the space they have for the line isn't that long in the first place can anyone really tell where the line ends or begins for that matter  )

I like fastpass, and I think it works great.
There was just a very long discussion on fastpass on a recent thread if you want to get a lot more opinions.

That is one long sentance. It was hard to tell where one sentence ended and the next began but I think I get what you are saying.

I would much rather get a ticket and come back to that attraction than to stand in a line forever. Remember it wasn't intended to just make you wait less, but was intended for you to go out and enjoy seeing something else then come back when it was your time.

I agree that some attractions (such as HM) doesn't really work for Fast Pass. This is because the area you stand in once you get to the end of the Fast Pass line is crowded with people.

It would involve hopping the line, which could be hazardous, I know, so don't SUE me or give me any legal business. .. but they cannot board the ride without a Fast Pass - and as this would be done near the entrance, hopefully, there would be no harm in exiting.

I know - far-fetched - but it would REALLY brighten someone's day. Just like filling in a spare few quarters into a Coke machine at the parks.

In my opinion, it's not the FP SYSTEM that doesn't work....it's the uneducated USER that screws it up!

How else can you explain all those mornings when the Fast Passes for an attraction are all distributed by 11am and there is noone in line for the ride? It's crazy!

People will walk up to an attraction with a 5 minute wait timeand get a Fast Pass for 2 hours later and move on. All that does is slow down the ride for people who arrive 2 hours later!!!

People like that can actually cause LOWER ridership on a ride by unneccessarily creating a longer waiting time when they return to use their FP later.

I've seen it many times....and I still can't believe it! :brick:

Sorry Grizz, I should have been more precise with my question. I understand the logistics of line hopping. My question is, how do you "Get a group of Fastpasses"? I promise that I won't sue you!

For the past two trips, I've been with a group of four. Let's say we just rode Splash Mountain. We go and get ANOTHER fastpass for Splash, wait until time comes, and then give it out to a family of the same number. :)

But then doesn't that make your group ineligible to secure Fastpasses for other attractions during that same period?

Ah, I totally agree..Maybe they could fix this by the cast members standing by the machines telling people when there's no line, and explaining that it would be a quick wait to go on now, and that they could get a fastpass for somethign else. Of course, they wouldn't have to listen, but a lot of people jsut get one because they don't understand it.

Yes... that's where the generosity comes in :D
