I'm actually having someone build a lego castle for me for Christmas. It's 5000 pieces. It'll be great for my Disney room. It's part of my Christmas present from my wife. So Fun!
Thank you!Yes Disney Store being part of consumer products was merged into the parks segment 2018ish. They get most of the same perks as parks cast, with a couple differences here and there.
ZOMBIE THREAD ALERT! Sorry to be bumping this 8 years later but I know a lot of things have changed since 2015. Does anyone know if Disney Store employees still get WDW perks? We only have one left in NYC (and it's the most famous one in Times Square) and I'm wondering what those CMs get (are they even considered CMs still?)
My mom worked at a Disney store in our local mall from 1997-2003 and got so many amazing perks. You can tell from my signature what years she worked there because we went all the time and stayed at deluxe hotels lol. Then the store closed so it was back to All Stars and Pop for us haha.
Thank you!Full time Disney Store employees get the same perks as any full time CM. This includes park access, merchandise discounts, resort discounts, etc.
The *only* exception to the above is that "Florida site" cast members are eligible for discounts that the rest of the company (such as Disney Store CM's) are not. These include special discounts at the water parks, friends/family discounts at the resorts, and some other benefits. Because Shopdisney/Disney Store is west-coast based in Glendale, cast members associated with that part of the company are often lumped into California/Disneyland when it comes to special discounts at the parks there rather than Florida.
