DLRP Resorts

So I was surprised to see that Disney had 5 themed resorts on the Paris property but I was just wondering if all five are close to the park and if they are all Disney quality or did they just remodel a former hotel and slap the name on it (ala Paridise Pier)

I have always kind of wanted to go to Disneyland Paris but with the current economy and the exchange rates it is not feasible at all.

There are 7 resorts at DLRP. The Disneyland Hotel which is at the Disneyland Parc entrance, Hotel New York, Newport Bay Resort, Sequoire Lodge, Hotel Cheyenne, Hotel Sante Fe and the Davey Crockett Ranch. http://visit.disneylandparis.co.uk/interactive-map/index.xhtml This link takes you to the resort map on the disneyland paris site.
Hotel Cheyenne and Hotel Sante are further out than the others but they are still within walking distance. They all have shuttles apart from the Disneyland Hotel as it is bascially the Park gate and also you have to either drive or take the shuttle bus from the Davey Crockett Ranch to the parks as it is quite far out compared to the other hotels.

Just to add...

all these resorts were built by Disney for Disney, and are very Disney. The New York, Sequoia, Newport and Disneyland are themed beyond belief, and the Newport and Sequoia feel well above their price band.

All the resorts I've seen are great.

As far as I'm aware, the only resort you can't walk to and from is the Davey Crockett Ranch. The rest are very close (the Disneyland Hotel is right over the entrance to MK and you get a great view of the park).

I've stayed in the Disneyland Hotel which is fantastic but pricey and the Sequoia lodge which was great (and around a 5-10 minute walk to the gates of either park)

While i love the Newport Bay, just returned back from the resort this weekend, and my gosh it was so expensive.

Almost £600 for two nights. But i think this has allot more to do with how well the Euro is doing.

Ahem...perhaps considering the interior design. But the architecture is definitely inferior compared to WDW. Its very reduced and much more stilized. For example the Sequoia Lodge is only a cheap version of the Wilderness Lodge.

Erm... Wilderness is an expensive version of Sequoia. The latter came first. Newport and the Y&B were both in design at the same time.

A smaller version perhaps but not cheap. Remember that this is a moderate resort in DLP rather than a delux in WL so there are bound to be some differences but it's still got a great feel to the place
