Don't know that much about Tokyo's version, but from what I've read it's a near-clone of the WDW version save for an indoor load/unload area, a concession to the much colder Japanese winters.
One thing I'll give the WDW version- it has much better music in the queue and exterior portions of the ride- music from the film played on actual banjos, harmonicas, and guitars instead of the cruddy-sounding trumpet/synthesizer stuff they play at Disneyland. Supposedly their music is supposed to provide a better thematic bridge into Critter Country from New Orleans Square, but regardless, a lot of it sounds awful.
I can't fathom why they haven't switched over to the WDW tracks at Anaheim.
