DL vs. WDW rivalries

Don't know that much about Tokyo's version, but from what I've read it's a near-clone of the WDW version save for an indoor load/unload area, a concession to the much colder Japanese winters.

One thing I'll give the WDW version- it has much better music in the queue and exterior portions of the ride- music from the film played on actual banjos, harmonicas, and guitars instead of the cruddy-sounding trumpet/synthesizer stuff they play at Disneyland. Supposedly their music is supposed to provide a better thematic bridge into Critter Country from New Orleans Square, but regardless, a lot of it sounds awful.

I can't fathom why they haven't switched over to the WDW tracks at Anaheim.

You think Splash Mountain is better at Disneyland? It was Splash you were talking about and not Space Mountain right? Because Splash Mountain at Disneyland is shorter than the version in MK. It also goes through the scenes a lot quicker and is a faster pace. MK is more of a scenic route and it takes longer to do. When my wife and I first went on Splash at Disneyland we noticed the abruptness to it. Still a great ride of course, just like Pirates is still a great ride at WDW despite being half as long as the DL version. But I'm curious why you picked Splash Mountain as being better at DL.

Yes, I said Splash Mountain. The drop is a little steeper. I remember getting off the ride and thinking, hmmm, that ride was a little better than the one in WDW. Just because the ride is shorter does not mean it is an inferior ride.

I already tried that here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/disney-vs-universal-competition-or-war.863376/. But the thread got locked up. And why was it locked up? Well, first, the topic has been discussed so many times, and second, I was told that whether or not it is a war is subjective, whatever that means.
strange :/
I'll give Disneyland this much. I think they have better character interactions

Seriously. I don't think you get this kind of experience in Magic Kingdom.

Well we'll have to disagree on that one. I noticed a substantial difference between the two. Disneyland's version goes too fast. This is a classic ride and like Pirates it is a ride that serves you better the longer you are on it. Likewise, Pirates at DL is better than WDW's primarily because you are on one of the best rides out there - for longer.
