DL vs. WDW - My observations

Buzz - Sorry, but you have to give the edge to DL's. The guns have more movement! It's just easier and more fun. I have no idea why they changed it at WDW.
It was at WDW before it was at DLR. So they improved it :)

I'm not really sure why anyone would prefer the gun bolted down to the car... to get any kind of accurate aim you have to crouch down over it! Holding the gun in my hand so that I can bring it up to my face is wayyy preferable!

Respectfully disagree, especially with the bolded parts! :) It is a Disney message board, but many of us are coaster enthusiasts, as well! And WDW's Space Mountain holds up VERY well in the thrills department, for my taste. It is in my Top 20 steel coasters in the country, (out of the 208 steel coasters I've ridden) behind only drop/camelback/lap bar/inversion-free hypercoasters (which are AWOL in Florida)

If you took the Space Mountain track, put it outside, and slapped it down in any other park, the ride would have been dismantled years ago. It isn't a thrilling ride on its own.

It's also my favorite steel coaster in Florida, ahead of all the tedious (for my taste) positive-g, shoulder-harness multiloopers (cough, Kumba, Hulk, Montu, Kraken, Manta, etc), and even ahead of Sheikra! Sheikra has some nice floater air on the drops, but since it holds you up there for awhile before the drop, it lacks the element of surprise, a nice long runtime, and the gradual buildup of both speed and intensity found in the MK Space Mountain.

Those other coasters are FAR more thrilling.

Airtime and pacing are my favorite qualities in a coaster experience, and the MK Space comes up aces in these categories.

Space Mountain has airtime? Jerking to a stop and flying forward as a result isn't exactly what I would call airtime. The airtime at the drop is only because of the jarring change in direction, and isn't anything that could remotely be considered smooth.

No mention of the differences between the Haunted Mansions? I haven't been to DL yet so I like reading about the differences. We will get there some day. I want to see the attractions that aren't at WDW as well. Something truly different.

Here:
-Obviously, the exterior.
-I'm not sure if this was changed in the recent refurbishment, but DLR used to have the old audio in the stretch room instead of the audio where the Ghost Host seems to move around. Though it doesn't make too much of a difference, DL's stretch room is a real elevator.
-The queue is different. Essentially, WDW's portrait hall at the start of the ride is walk-through here. The staring pictures are not in DL's mansion, and the staring heads are in the queue.
-DL's mansion doesn't have the library or Escher steps room.
-The WDW ballroom glass doesn't have a hole in it as DL's does. It isn't that significant, though. XD

Those aside, I think WDW might have a few more effects and updates that DL doesn't have, but I consider WDW's HM far superior. Prior to the refurb at WDW, you could go either way because of DL's attic, but now with the updated stretch room and the steps room, it's hard to argue that DL's is better. Both facades are nice, but I think WDW's fits the theme a little better. Haunted Mansion Holiday is another problem with DL's mansion for me. It was nice to see it, but no matter how many times I ride it, the original HM never gets old. That's three months of the year where my favorite attraction of all time is gone.
