It'll happen, just not when they originally planned. Think of it this way, if they are still having issues, it is probably very complex, which means when they do get it working, its going to look VERY cool. ;)

I would think so!:D

I hear that they are using Malificent in the ending, though...Why not use the old Dragon?

Why not use the old Dragon?

It was removed back in March. All of the equipment and controls that operate it were removed. The facility where it was housed, basically a deep well under Tom Sawyer Island, is now filled with the new dragon and all of the mechanics to make him work. Don't forget the new dragon was airlifted in via several helicopter lifts over a period of several weeks last March.

The new dragon has problems, but they will get him fixed in a few weeks. The Malifecent finale' was created purposely 15 years ago to be used when the original dragon had issues or a mechanical fault just before show time. It's a finale' that has been used hundreds and hundreds of times in the last 15+ years.

I'm sure the WDW version of Fantasmic! also has alternate endings and scenarios they use when certain major elements aren't working right, or have technical faults pop up during the course of the show. The show must go on!

Ah, gotcha. :(
And yes, WDW has the same ending.
