I know this is supposed to be a joke thread.. but serious question.. When did iguanas start living in Orlando? I didn’t think they could survive even without the bomb cyclone weather.

I read somewhere they're an evasive species like the large pythons down in the Everglades.

They’re all over South Florida. We had cold weather in 2009 or 2010 and they were falling out of trees and eventually dying left and right. Reduced the population tremendously that year.

Apparently they do, and they land on iguanas.

They've moved up into some parts of Orlando, and Orlando is just about the furthest north they can survive. I don't think they're often seen here.

Ah ok., I was wondering if this was some new thing.. as in people letting their pets out during the cold or something. It would be hard for them to survive in Central Florida.
