To echo @spacemt354 thoughts, just give people some time. Not everyone logs in daily or even checks the threads here if they do log in. This thread especially, there is a lot of information to read through.

One thing I would suggest is finding a way to spread out your posts and/or threads. For a project of this size, just from what I glanced at in the word docs, you have a few solid months of reading for forum members if you moved the data into forum posts. Often you'll see blue-sky detailed resort projects like this broken up into many smaller posts (maybe daily), which makes it easier in my opinion to dive into the material where the time commitment to get through the material doesn't feel as daunting. This makes the project more accessible I think, and also encourages routine follow up from forum regulars as sort of daily or every other day reading material that maybe takes 5-10 minutes. It would also allow members to better appreciate all of the detail and work you've put in.

For smaller projects/topics, you may consider delaying those posts or consolidating into a single thread as a sort of grab bag of Imagineering ideas. Start a topic and share your ideas, allow some time for feedback and discussion, and you can update the thread title to your next topic. This would keep anyone following the thread regularly updated with new posts, and also avoid pushing threads you really want read off the main page of the recent forum list.

Don't be intimated or feel like your ideas are without merit. For the most part, everyone here giving feedback only does so with the best of intentions. We all have our own opinions and Imagineering is the type of topic that it's rare for anyone to agree completely on the design. Discussion, constructive criticism and freedom of ideas are all what make it what it is. Love your passion. Keep up the great work!

I've already agreed to go slower. However, I would like to point out that I conceived these documents before I joined the forums. They've just been sitting on my computer for a few months.

Right so like Disney Dad said - break up the documents into small forum posts and introduce the parks over the course of the next several weeks to months.

But please don't post the small chunks all at once. Post a little bit and then tease more, you'll gain readers as you go along, but you'll be back at this same spot if you just post a ton all at once.

So here are my thoughts on this.....

When I decided to flesh the parks out, I didn't have the forum to do it on, so that's why I put them all on google docs. When I did join the forum, I decided to post the docs.

I wasn't thinking of having them broken down and slowly published. You see, I am autistic and have a lack of patience, so it's hard for me to do things too slow. I just fashioned the docs after the big collection of ideas for Sydney Disneyland, which looked like it had been posted all at once in 2017. I was hoping that after some fixing up, Disneytopia would be presented the same way. Because of this, I see these documents as less than the final draft but more as a blueprint.

I saw how you started the project by pitching your ideas for it, Space. I think I'll do just that as well. Make it easier for people to know what is there.

^ refer to this thread for one of the most successful blue-sky parks on the forum.

My suggestion would be to create a new thread as this one is already a bit disorganized. Simply title it 'Disneytopia: A Dream Resort' nothing else in the title. Start fresh.

What you posted above is the perfect example of a Table of Contents which can be the 2nd post in the thread. You can use to apply links to the various sections. You'll see an example of that in the DisneySky thread.

Then over the course of the next few months, each day post a new component of your project. This will provide people time to read and new readers to join, rather than being overwhelmed by a massive dump of information.

The DisneySky thread is a perfect example of how to present a large volume personal project such as yours. The Sydney Disneyland project is not the best template to use as that was a group project. Use DisneySky as the template for your presentation.

Again though note in DisneySky how each day had a post - it wasn't all dumped at once. It took several months to post the whole project.

And for the record, from the brief skim I have done of your documents - you have parks on file that can rival the presentations of DisneySky, Americana 1900, etc. And you deserve an audience for your ideas.

But you need to present them effectively to gain and maintain that audience.

It sounds like you want me to re-post the entire resort on the forums, but do it slowly. That might be a little challenging noting how I don't like to do things slowly....................but then again, this wasn't going to be my final draft.

That's correct - if you don't want to do that, that's fine, but it's going to be tough to get people to read so much content at once.

Start fresh? You mean complete redo the whole resort? Or do you mean something else?
No. Start this thread over with a new thread.

And to be honest, I was hoping that this could be a group project.
I'm confused how this would be a group project. You already have the content done. If it was a rough draft, and you want feedback about how to improve it, again, posting the project piecemeal, bit by bit, is the best way to get that feedback and group involvement.

If you look closer at the documents, you can see that the resort has a few flaws. I just want people to help me make this resort better.

And by the way, this is a rough draft.

I understand it's difficult for you to wait, but if this helps, view each day as its own individual 'project' rather than a component of a whole.

For example:

Tomorrow you post the Main Street Station component of Magic World off the document. That's the project of the day. People will be able to read it, and if you want feedback on it, that's the best way to get it.

The feedback might not be instant, so don't keep posting asking for the feedback, it will come.

Then the next day, you post about the Omnibus and Horse-Drawn Carriage - and end the daily post asking what other forms of transportation would you add to Main Street? Allow others to comment.

And so on and so forth.

This is how you build the audience and allow people time to read.

I admit that I don't like the advice I've been given, but I see your point. You guys know the forum better than I do. I've only been here for a few days, so I don't know much about the forums at all. I haven't been much of a poster, and I have a terrible amount of patience, but I understand that people would rather digest it slower than have it all thrust on them. I apologize for my arrogant behavior and hope that I can improve. I came on here thinking that 'teamwork makes the dream work,' but how do I work with a bunch of people who differ in my opinions? Plus, I don't think I'd be able to set up a team if I didn't at least give them a simple digest of what I want. I still have a long way to go from being an official, but hopefully, this is a start.
