DisneySea at Walt Disney World?!?

Would you like DisneySea as a 5th Theme Park coming to Walt Disney World?

Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story land and Pandora???
Two of those three are copies or were copied from other Disney parks
You added literally nothing to my perspective. Why would I care about a hotel in the park? Or the park's elevation? And I already stated the architecture which, to me, includes the volcano. This is one of the biggest grasp at straws defenses I've ever seen. You might as well have told me "maybe you should consider that the park has pink toilet paper! No other park has that!"
I’ve never seen someone who “loves” Disney parks so easily dismiss the types of things Disney parks are so lauded for: ingenuity and cohesive design.
Disney would spend 2.5 billion, 3 tops, on a new skeleton park producing another 1/3 baked experience. 5.5 billion is the new threshold budget to build something worthy of spending a full day.

And to pull that stunt on a Disney Sea park would be criminal.
Much higher than that...there would be mandatory infrastructure and hotel build outs before they could financially justify the capex cost to themselves...

$10,000,000,000...perhaps more

Adventure is the industry’s newest buzzword for whatever. Any modern attraction is adventure. They’ve got a Toy Story Mania clone, Nemo simulator, Little Mermaid area, Flying Carpets clone, maybe even a Frozen ride... sounds like the Bobs’ wet dream. ToT, Raging Spirits, Sinbad, etc. are hardly better in this regard. My question for you is, what couldn’t fit in DisneySea?
I get your point, but I didn´t just say adventure. There´s quite a few attractions that wouldn´t fit DisneySea imo.

I mean I can see this. I'm not going to say Disney did all of this on purpose (maybe they did) but MGM was an alternative to Universal Orlando. (Yes I know MGM opened a year earlier). AK is somewhat a Disney-ized version of Busch Gardens (less the roller coasters). Could Disney look to open a Disney type alternative to SeaWorld? Sure.

There is a pattern here. Back in the day Pleasure Island was an alternative to Church Street station. River Country then Blizzard and Typhoon were the alternative to Wet N Wild. Springs is somewhat a hybrid alternative to the Outlet Malls and City Walk. A DisneySea would make some sense. Too bad they never created a Disney version of Mystery Fun House.

Imo I don't think Disney will ever open a sea world I imagine the cost of running something like that would be extremely high and not something Disney would invest in. The man power to run something like that would be great.

A 5th park is more likely to happen now more than ever mostly because they have done a good job of shoring up the other 4 parks. However, that is quite a lot of money. It is very easy to make plans on how to spend someone else's money, but let's be practical here, Disney may have deep pockets, but they have a lot of people to answer to if they would make a 5th gate. It would be nice to spread the crowds out a bit more but I honestly don't know if it will be done.

Another gate won't bring that many more people. The 4 parks never reach capacity now (less MK on NYE). I cant believe TDO would build a *multi*- billion dollar park to spread out crowds.

Not necessarily a Sea World. Just an alternative to Sea World. FWIW - I don't see a DisneySea coming to Orlando. But in theory they could do it.

So is the manpower behind the scenes at AK.
A friend of mine (college degree) worked at Sea World many of the behind the scene employees were college grads with degrees in marine biology. My friend was a aquarist taking care of tanks and the health of the fish not $10 an hour Disney CM. They also had microbiologists monitoring water quality. Just don't see Disney doing it

You mean like veterinarians, biologists, conservationists, various specialists, botanists etc.? Disney already does this. And I'm not making a case for some type of Sea World type park. But everything SeaWorld does for it's park, I guarantee you Disney does (and probably more) for AK. And if Disney thought it'd be profitable enough, they'd do it in a heartbeat.

The other 4 parks are in desperate need of new rides. Magic Kingdom in particular is in dire need of new rides.

Oh I agree, man, they have the space, why not use more of the model of Disneyland and put some more rides in there. I know Disneyland has to cram them in there but you can still have more rides in MK and still have the extra space around for things.
