Interesting that AT&T/Warner is allowing Animaniacs on Hulu rather than putting them on HBO Max.

Not the first time a Warner property is heading for a streamer other than HBO Max...

Seems odd that Warner would sell the streaming rights to D+ when their own streaming service HBO Max is coming out in two weeks. Disney must have paid a big price... or Warner is thirsty for cash.

I think that the buy out of ATT/Warner and Comcast from Hulu includes a promise to keep providing content to Hulu, at least for a while.

Yeah but none of those are characters that are associated explicitly with the WB brand. I mean they literally live on the WB lot in the WB tower. It would be like Donald or Goofy having a new series on HBO Max instead of D+.

I guess AT&T must have evicted them.

It was announced in January 2018 that it was a straight to series order. I’m sure now they wish they had it, but this probably closed in 2017 before they realized HBO Max would be a thing.

I'm aware of when it was originally announced. Except it was announced also in 2018 that an over-the-top streaming service would be released for WarnerMedia, wasn't called HBOMax yet, but also likely planned in 2017 or earlier.

So again its just interesting they would allow their "mascot" characters to be shown on another service instead of their own.

In other Hulu news, Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi got a second season, and David Chang is also developing some Hulu content.

As a big Top Chef fan (also available on Hulu) and immigrant myself, I really enjoyed Season 1 and can't wait for the series to continue.

Also just discovered Hulu is home to the entire Amazing Race backlog - really pleased with Hulu lately!

"Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared a peek at the upcoming Disney+ series “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom” here on the Blog and @drmarkatdisney. Today, I’m thrilled to share this brand-new series will debut and stream on Disney+ starting September 25.

“Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic, will provide an all-access pass to explore the magic of nature within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT, and it’s the ultimate tribute to the magnificent array of more than 300 species and 5,000-plus animals cared for by our dedicated and highly skilled team at Walt Disney World Resort."
