The hype for Mandalorian is real. 18 days till launch. Gonna be hard not watching the 1st episode through other sources for a whole week when every youtube channel I follow is gonna be gushing about how awesome it is.

The tricky part with these services is their ease of cancellation. This isn't like cable where you had to call and argue your way out. You click a couple buttons, including the "Are you sure" button before you're out.

Annual memberships are good for this reason, but most of them from what I've seen aren't very attractive for the average customer. Disney got me with the D23 offer, so I'll have it for three years, pretty genius really. I believe Disney will have an easier time attracting annual membership households than the others, for brand loyalty, but also the price is very fair, even without the D23 deal.

This is going to sound awful, but I just now realized while on this thread I have Amazon Prime and didn't really know about it. I *thought* my only subscription was Netflix. I guess I signed up for the shipping.

Annual fees are definitely a good way to rope people in. Apparently I pay the equivalent 2.50 USD a month though.

I'm a bad case example on the opposite end of the spectrum that if the service keeps itself priced softly enough I'll blindly stay subscribed.

All the episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse just disappeared from YouTube TV (in a house with a 2-year old, that's a major thing). In preparation for the launch I suspect.

I was just posting that. Makes me think they will be holding some of these back so they can have some titles coming in the next few months as there will be some weeks with no originals launching. I also wonder if it'll be under the "Disney" banner as there's no Fox banner on Disney+ right now.

Meta critic has a nifty what to watch on the streaming platforms that are well reviewed.

I’m a big apple fan, but wooooof.

The majority of the list is TBD and might even shrink it further.

You can click on the Disney+ panel for a comparison.

Apple needed to launch bare minimum with a must watch show. (A stranger things, Mandalorian, Game of thrones or Star Trek Discovery type situation). They don’t seem to have done that.

I wonder under what category Fox movies will appear, the only one that fits is simply Disney, which would mean it's history as a Fox film will be erased over time.
I wonder too. Maybe, Disney will add an icon. I would hate to see the 20th Century Fox movie logo disappear.

I also want to see what movies end up in Hulu. I still expect a package of Disney Plus and Hulu with live TV. I will sign up for it the days its announced.

My guess is edgier PG-13 movies will end up on Hulu (Live Free or Die Hard, for example). I do think they need to add another tile for Fox films. Disney is all about branding, they don't want to lose that brand. The logo and fanfare are iconic. They also need to redesign Hulu to be more in line with Disney+ UI. The UI in Hulu is poor, to say the least. And I use Hulu daily.

I think they need to add multiple bundle options. I would sign up for Hulu no ads/ESPN+/Marvel Unlimited/Disney+ bundle. Not really interested in Live TV for the most part, but there's an audience there.
