Trip Report Disney's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser TR (from afar with mission updates)

*Disclaimer: I am not at the Starcruiser, my husband and father are. This trip report will include pictures and observances that my husband sends me. He is not a member of this forum. I have never did a trip report before, so please bear with me. I am not the biggest Star Wars fan, hence why I am not there.

Day 1: June 5, 2022:
I am not there but my husband and dad currently are. They arrived on time at 1pm and were brought to the transport. They were then escorted to their room and lo and behold their magic bands didn't work.

So, they checked their bags with the front desk and started their journey by going to get something to eat. My husband said the salmon was the best and the desserts were just okay. He also said he preferred the green milk over the blue milk.

At around 3pm, I receive a call from a castmember on the Starcruiser wanting to speak to my husband. He was in full character. I explained to him I was not on the Starcruiser and gave him my husband's number. My husband then contacted me to let me know that they had lost their luggage and were currently looking for it. He said the castmember then called him in full character saying he spoke to my wife on a different planet called "Ohio", which he never heard of. They had unloaded the bags in our Jeep (the one's for our 15 night trip at BWV starting on June 7) thinking it was the luggage. They had to put it back.

In the meantime, my husband went to the gift shop and found out that the AP discount is only on minor merchandise not the droid or lightsaber. No big deal. He sent me a picture of some pins. I told him to get me the one in the bottom left corner. He is also going to be buying the droid.

At around 5pm, they found their bags but not my husband's robe. Therefore, they sent someone to Batuu to get a new one for him.

It's 5:30pm and dinner time. When I made them the reservation, I booked the Captain's Table as a surprise since my husband's birthday is in 4 days. Here is my dad sitting by the captain and some pictures my husband has sent of the meal. The drink is a Mark of the Huntress (Bourbon Whiskey, Peach-Infused Blackcurrant, Orgeat (Almond), Lemon, Sparkling Bubbles). It's $23 on the menu, but he got it included with the Captain's Table. The third picture is the first course. He said he liked the green one best. The fourth picture is a shot of soup with cripsy tofu shooter.

More pictures of dinner and dessert. Main course: Chinese chicken, vegetables, rice, shrimp, steak. Dessert #1: Blueberry and chocolate mousse and lemon meringue. Dessert #2: Sea salt caramels and gunman goomy ooomies. He says the show is awesome. They had a song and a special dance to go with it. He also got a Halcyon coin. Based on the free alcoholic drink and the two extra courses, I say that the $30 upcharge for the Captain's Table is worth it.

Thank you for sharing your husband's adventures. It's fun to see how immersive the whole thing is. I think the upgrade at the Captain's table was definitely worth it!

June 7, 2022---Day 2: Batuu & Starcruiser

Breakfast

1654539265613.png

(Clockwise)-Dish #1: sausage links, scrambled eggs, waffle, Dish #2: fruit, Dish #3: blue milk yogurt parfait, Dish #4: egg whites with pickled veg, and Dish #5: potato cake, egg, and bacon.
My husband did text me about continuing his mission in Batuu: "I had to go to Savi's Workshop and scan some Jedi artifacts. I then went to Oga's Canteen and got a mission off the dude outside. He gave me something else to scan which opened up some missions. I had to scan and ship some contraband back to lieutenant Croy. I had to scan some frequencies for him too. Then I rode both rides as a spy for the First Order and reported back."

He chose to eat back at the Starcruiser, which had a different menu. He said he was going back for some seconds this time.

Fish and chickpeas. Ricotta cheese with tomato puree. Different pizza topped with veg and goat cheese. Sausage sandwich.

Lunch Desserts

"Salted caramel brownie with cream on top on the right. That was great. Best dessert so far. Left is more of the fruity mouse with cream. That's good too."

My husband's review of dinner: "The bread course with the cheese was great. Braised steak was super tender. Shrimp looked great, but was just okay-tasting. Dessert was excellent. They introduced each meal and changed the lighting to match the food."

Sorry for the late finish. I have been enjoying my own Disney World trip and this is the first time I had any time to complete this trip report.

Here is what my husband had to say the last two days of his cruise, which were June 6 and 7, 2022:

"The second day was great too. I continued to tattle on the Resistance to the First Order. We took a transport to Batuu and stole some coaxium. Got back and assisted the First Order in taking over the ship. Unfortunately the Resistance prevailed, but the finale was spectacular."

My husband really liked this experience and said he would do it again. He told me that the enjoyment of this experience is all about being willing to immerse yourself into the mission and often being around at the right time by standing around and listening into the characters' conversations and conversing with them yourself. Below is a video that he made on the second night and an example of being in the right place at the right time. I put it with a spoiler button as it is a pivotal scene and may be a spoiler for some.

Thanks for sharing! As others have said - not for me, so this is the only way I’ll ever experience it!
I wondered - as someone who relies heavily on natural light/ sunlight to keep my circadian rhythm in check - how was it to wake up to just a digital window? And be indoors so much?

My husband's internal clock is to wake up early in the morning due to his job. Regardless, he used his phone's alarm to wake up just in case. As for the lack of natural light, there is a section on the Starcruiser that they call the "climate simulator" which is essentially an outside garden that is covered that has natural light (the picture of the storm troopers stacking rocks earlier in this TR was taken there during the evening). It has "native" plants growing on walls. He said he did not mind the spending time on the ship with artificial light since they keep you so busy with the mission and subplots.

That looked so cool!
Thank you for posting. Not bad for your first TR and not actually being there. Maybe you want to report on your trip? Starting with, did they lose that luggage too?

Thank you for sharing this report. I am a Star Wars fan so have been wondering what it was like aboard the Starcruiser. Obviously would never be able to go on it but have enjoyed this insight especially the video.

Like others I don't know anything about Star Wars other than the original one in the 70's. I've wondered about this but knew I'd never do it. Thank you for reporting! You did good.:) Now let's here about your trip.

Sorry, everyone, but there is not much to report about my other trip. We've been at the Boardwalk Villas since June 7 and leave on June 22. There is not much to report in this trip as we go to one of the parks in the morning and leave after lunch. Also, we often go to EPCOT in the evening after dinner. This trip has been about attempting to experience all the attractions open at the parks and eating at our favorite restaurants and pin trading since we will not be back for awhile after this trip. We all have APs, but are not going to renew them. I have a DAS due to knee issues and thankfully got my first cortisone shot, which has totally changed the experience for me. Our experience is not much different from the other trip reports already been reported. Below are a list of restaurants we went to/or going to before the end of our trip:

  1. Beaches & Cream
  2. Trattoria al Forno
  3. Space 220 Lounge
  4. Rose & Crown
  5. Sanaa
  6. Sci-Fi Diner
  7. Skipper Canteen
  8. Steakhouse 71
  9. Biergarten
  10. Yak & Yeti
  11. Rainforest Cafe at DAK
I have been a little distracted during this trip as this trip overlaps summer school (I'll be missing two days) and when we return, I will be teaching until July 22. Sorry for the lack of response on your requests.
