"Disney's" MGM studio sign at Pop Century

I think a new sign needs to be ordered :lol: A sign leading out of the new Pop Century resort reads "See it first at Disney's MGM Studios". I know tourists and other guests make this mistake, but now an actual Disney sign?? I don't think MGM would be so thrilled that the joint park (Disney-MGM Studios) is now just Disney's :lol:

That happens all the time. The old signs for the walkway from the Boardwalk to the Studios were like that. Some said MGM Studios, some said Disney's MGM Studios, and some said MGM's Disney Studios. I laughed so hard when I saw that last one. However, they have since been removed and new signage has been added. I'm sure that sign at Pop Century won't be there for long now that it's been posted here!

Thats interesting Mort...u seem to know alot...do the folks in positions of "power" at WDW read these boards...ive always wondered that...

Wow, you're right... although "slow days" are pretty much the norm in PA.

Anyway, that sign is great. Although, I can see why it may be an honest mistake... it is "Disney's Animal Kingdom" and "Disney's California Adventure" after all... maybe it's a sign of things to come? (pun intended)

It should be Disney's MGM Studios if Disney was smart enough to just go ahead and buy the company.

There is proof that at one time the folks in power read the WDW Blues website... using it to point out needs for WDW. As for WDWmagic, I'm not quite sure, but I think Disney monitors all websites, and WDWmagic is no exception. I remember when that interior Mission: SPACE picture leaked. It was taken down not long afterwards. There's no other reason that I can think of... Disney asking Steve to is the only reason that makes sense. Now I can't really prove that. But you have to admit, it does make sense.:lol:

I don't know if actual officials read this site or not, but it probably gets posted here, is read by CM's who bring it up to their superiors (who may themselves be on this site) who let the appropriate people know. Take for instance the Space Mountain sign. Not too long after a pic on here showed the warning sign saying that the adventure was "out of this would!" did the sign get removed and a new one with the correct wording "out of this world!" replaced it. If that Pop Century sign is removed soon, that would just be more proof (or just another coincidence) that someone out there who can affect changes is among us :lookaroun

Hey all Disney employees:..! Put those misspelled signs on your auction site on eBay!! I'll pay a pretty penny for them! It'll be a nice, quick easy way to capitalize on your mistakes with cold hard cash! :lol:
