I was not a fan of rango I know some ppl like it but was a little werid even my kids had a blank look on their face. My favorite depp movie is what's eating Gilbert grape. And he was out acted by Leonardo.

Once I saw where JD got the crow hat idea, it didn't bother me anymore. Two of my favorite JD movies are Nick of Time and Benny and Joon. Blow wasn't my cup of tea. I actually liked The Tourist. I also like the Pirate movies a lot. Whatever he does, I'll at least give it a chance.

The Ninth Gate was weird but his acting was solid in it. Sleepy Hollow was awesome. His ability to emote in Edward Scissorhands was exceptional but I am just not sold yet on him as Tonto...of course if you told me ten years ago he would be a great drunken pirate I would have called you daft so who knows.

He is hit r miss he has jack sparrow r is he the tourist. He is very up and down in his acting

a I would to sometimes to bc he gets what 20 million for everything he does I think he will be good as tonto when he gets to be a character that he gets to give a little something to he does great. I am not worried about him but everything else in the movie does.

Benny and Joon is a good film, and Edward Scissorhands. Sleepy Hollow was also pretty good, and the first Pirates was too.

Those are the only films of his I like. Willy Wonka was OK but didn't beat the original.

No ones mentioned Sweeney Todd! I remember going to the cinema to see that and not realising that it was a musical ohhhh dear.

Agreed. Personal opinions are much more valuable to me though than the Academy of Arts and Sciences trophy. What other animated features was it up against? Shrek's Puss and Boots and Kung Fu Panda 2 and 2 foreign films very few people saw. Rango deserved the animation award in that case but it does not mean it was a good movie. The story sucked. I enjoyed Kung Fu Panda 2 more. Again personal opinions.
