Yea, I was on allears and found that AP holders can get the DISNEY'S DINING EXPERIENCE for $50.00. This is fron allears :

1. Members receive a 20% discount on all food and beverage (including alcohol) for up to 10 people at participating table-service Disney restaurants.
-- Discount applies to member's check only.

-- One Disney Dining card per table. Two cards cannot be combined.

-- Member must be present to receive discount.

-- Card must be presented when ordering.

2. Half-price admission to Pleasure Island for cardholder (hard-ticket admission excluded) and ONE (1) guest. The ticket will only be valid on the date of issuance. You must present the Disney Dining Experience Card to receive the discount.

3. Club Newsletter

4. Complimentary parking at a theme park for a short period for the sole purpose of dining. You'll have to pay parking at the toll booth, then after dining, present receipt and parking ticket at Guest Relations for a refund.

more details

Pretty much every Resort and Themepark sit-down (and buffet) dining place is included, except Japan who poo-poos all discounts.
Also includes some in Downtown Disney like Planet Hollywood and others.
Also includes the food courts at the value resorts!!!
Includes Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club.

Free valet parking at the resorts (aside from the tips), just present your receipt when you pickup your car...great when you are in a hurry.

Doesn't include Rainforest Cafe, but I recommend joining their Safari Club just for the priority seating...go right to the head of the line for instant seating (while everyone else waits in a 60-90 minute line)...receive birthday and anniversary certificates, 10% off food and store, or free appetizer.

Well keep in mind that when you gave your name and address, they most likely looked up your Annual Pass in the computer. :p

I've been a member for just a few weeks, and it's already paid for itself. The free valet for dinner rocks.

We ordered it last week (and got the email for now, I hope the card comes before we go) but we have not purchaced our AP yet. We plan to get them down there (want to use our Disney Rewards for that.) No problem.

I would assume they ask for the AP with it when you present the card.

they don't ask for the AP when you present the card, as DDE and AP are entirely separate programs. The discount offered to passholders is simply to get more people to sign up for DDE.

Feel free to use the card when you take the wife and I out to dinner on your next trip down here. :D

For those that have it and have used it - do you HAVE to present it before you order? A rule like that always makes me think you'll get "less" of a portion or "less" service or somehow get something different than if you were paying full price. If it's simply to have the bill prepared correctly, how hard is it to just make the adjustment afterwards?

No, you don't have to mention it beforehand. I usually will give it to them when I give my credit card, to avoid them having to make an extra trip. :D

We followed the directions and presented the card (well the letter since I don't have my card yet) before hand at Spoodles, Jiko, and Kona Cafe this past weekend. Didn't notice any difference at in the service or portion size at restaurants I've been to before and got way more food than I could eat at restaurants I was visiting the first time.

The best thing about this (IMHO) is the discount for alcohol too. So 20% off every bottle of wine you get. And it makes it very easy to figure out your tip (assuming you tip 20%).

Only problem was when I was forgetful enough to leave our DDE membership letter in the car in the Epcot lot when we went to eat at Ohana. Would saved us about $15. DOH! :brick:

That's all I needed to hear...how soon before a visit should I apply for one?

Does anybody know for sure whether or not you can use it for Fantasmic Dinner Packages at Hollywood and Vine? I know you can use it there for a regular meal, but haven't seen if the package makes it inelligible. Since they are the same price, I don't really get why it would.

The membership is good for 1 year from when you sign up, not the first time you use it like an annual pass. So you want to sign up relativly close to the first trip you will use it on.

Disney is saying 4-6 weeks to get your card but if you tell them you will be visiting sooner than that, they will send you an email to use in place of the card. I called and signed up the day before I left and told them I would be down there there next day. Got my emailed letter that afternoon. I signed up for mine mid Jan and the letter states my membership expires end of Feb. So I guess they base the expiration date on when they expect you to receive the card and full membership package.

I'm waiting to purchase mine until my AP switches over to the new one in a weekish. If my AP says it's expires on Feb 4, is it still usable on Feb 4 or is that the day my new one starts? Just so I know which day to order my DDE on. I figure having them happen on the same day will be much easier to keep track of renewing and everything.

I called this week and purchased my membership! I'm so excited - can't wait to see how much money I can "save."

If not for you, Kevin, I would never have paid attention to the DDE news - okay maybe I would, but getting to see a DDE card in action (while I enviously thought of ways I could get a Florida driver's license...) was a great preview for me.

I signed up a week and a half before going on my trip this past weekend. The card processing is currently taking 3-4 weeks rather than the standard 2 weeks. The cast member on the phone said demand has been high since expanding the benefit to annual passholders.

Anyhow, they will either e-mail or fax you a letter you may present at the restaurants in lieu of the card. Turn around on receiving the e-mail was one business day. I had no trouble showing this letter anywhere I ate last weekend that offered the discount.

They will also e-mail or fax a full listing of the participating restaurants.

Hope this helps!
