( There are expansion pads built into each land- two to six- depending on the size of the land. Main street has two largish ones- I will discuss plans for the expansion pads at the end. Characters are both walk around and in specific meet and greet spots)
As you emerge from the tunnel, you turn around to see the Disney Railroad station above you, reached by stairs and a ramp. We'll be taking that later, as it makes stops in every single land. Turning back around, in front of you is a square of brick paving, the appropriate flags flutter from a flagpole, rotating characters meet here . Turning to your right you see Town Square Theater, a broadway style theater, running Frozen ( currently- it will be what ever Disney show has recently closed on Broadway, or a concept that they want to test before putting it on Broadway.) Turning to your left, we see City Hall- First Aid and Baby Care, City hall holds one of the four guest service locations in the park as well as baby care and first aid. Next door to City Hall, you will find S.E.A's Outpost a base for recruitment to the organization. It is in a Victorian home Next to S.E.A's is Mary's the bakery of this land. It is set in a old timey bakery- that has been expanded. When you pass Mary's you reach a cross roads. We'll turn onto it and come down the main street after we're done exploring this extension. You pass another entrance to Mary's as you turn the corner. Next to this entrance is a train shed, claiming to show the History of the Railroad. (This is a dark ride that brings a bit of education to main street.) Passing the ride entrance, you reach Joe's Tea and Coffee, this is the Starbucks of this land. It looks like a classic small town coffee shop. Across the street is The Emporium (it's one big L shape) , it takes up the whole space of the other side of the street as well as a sizable chuck of the left side of the main drag. This is the classic which we all know and love, one of the two mega stores in the park . You see another street heading up towards the Hub as you exit Joe's , you head up it, On your right you see another entrance to The emporium , past that you see Roy's this land's Club 33 location ( Local game is strong here, though annual passholders can join for an up-charge price - each is named after an og imanigeer ) Turning to your left you see Ella's` a table service restaurant serving all american food. ( It has the style of a small town diner) . Next to Ella's you come across an entrance to Iris's magical flight- a family flying coaster dark ride combo that has you flying with the park mascot. To round off the left side, you have Magical Meets, a character meeting spot. Continuing on the left, past some baseball stadium turnstills you have The Major League- a dark ride taking a look at America's greatest pastime. To round off the left- Kingdom of Dreams post office.
In the next post we'll cover the main drag and the side streets near Town square Theater. Question for those reading- Would you like to take the train from land to land- or walk it?
