I snagged a couple of these animal guides when I was at DAK last week -- I only saw them at one of the merchandise locations in Africa, near the exit to the Kilimanjaro Safaris (likely Mombasa Marketplace).
The guide is a single sheet, printed on both sides, of the same dimensions and on the same kind of paper as the parks' times guides.
The guide lists each of the areas of the park, along with small graphic icons and the names of the animals that can be found in the area. For example, the "Africa" section has the headings "Kilimanjaro Safaris" and "Pangani Forest Exploration Trail," and below each heading there are small square icons and the names of the animals that can be seen on the safari and the trail, respectively (e.g., addax, African elephant, African lion, etc. for the safari; African bullfrog, African cichlid fish, African pancake tortoise, etc. for the trail). Amusingly, Tyrannosaurus Rex is one of the animals listed for DinoLand U.S.A.!
There are no text descriptions of any of the animals, and the only images are tiny silhouettes/outlines in the icons. These do help with regard to animals whose names don't make it immediately obvious what type of creature the animal is (fish, bird, reptile, etc.), but otherwise don't help much with the animals' coloration, size, or the like.
On the whole, the animal guide seems to be helpful primarily as a general checklist for people who want to be sure they don't miss seeing any of the animals available in each area of the park. It's also a nice, free -- and possibly limited edition -- souvenir for those of us who obsessively collect such things.
