Trip Report Disneypocalypse: a LIVE report!

No better time to start a live trip report than when you're sitting and waiting for the Magical Express. Ohhh... never mind, we are on the bus!

Okay... who we are: I'm C and he's G. The only reason we are here (WDW... 'cause "here" can have a much more existential meaning but that's for another board) ANYWAY... we are ar WDW because I have a work conference and we're taking a few extra days for the park.

Mixed feelings on Magical Express: I loved not having to deal with luggage and when it looked like they almost had us on the wrong bus, a manager (aka guy in fancy shirt) rushed to make things right. We are first on the bus and waiting to take off to Coronado Springs.

Checked in! Easy-peasy with online check in. Bags not delivered but that's okay. On our way to DTD for some eating and imbibing. We only had to wait about 5 mins for the bus. Here's a pic of our room. It's fine. Would have liked a king but they accommodated everything else: close to El Centro, ground floor.

Took the bus to DTD. We started in the Marketplace and made our way to the WestSide. The bus took about 10 minutes. Our goal was to find something to eat. Now keep in mind we eat vegetarian and have (relatively) light appetites. So if you're looking for a foodie report you may be disappointed. But I will still report on our rabbit food.

That blurry explosion is from Rainforest Cafe. Pretty darn cool. It reminded me of the volcano at the Mirage in Vegas... but again, I digress.

Where was I? Looking for veggie friendly eats. We settled on Cookes of Dublin. Irish aren't exactly know for vegetarian but we were happy with what we had: G had a portobello burger and I had a kids mac and cheese with fries (though they called them "chips." They looked liked fries to me ;) Both portions were satisfying and the mac and cheese tasted from scratch.

We did some more window shopping, made it to the WestSide and took the buses home from there. So far we have had hardly any wait for busses. Loving the transportation system! Made it back to our room and like magic,

...our bags appeared in our room! That Walt Disney!

Tomorrow we have plans for Animal Kingdom. We're meeting up with a CM friend who had passes for us, so we have no FP+ but we do have reservations for Tusker House. See you in the morning!

It's raining, it's pouring... glad we packed our ponchos! We started the day at Animal Kingdom. Tip for the day: if you see the Animal Kingdom bus at the resort stop... RUN! We missed that bus and had to wait about 20 minutes. Eventually we made it to AK. We met up with a friend of G (we'll call her K ;-). She's an intern here she she had some passes to use with us.

We walked through the gates at around 9:15. It was overcast but not raining. We went straight to Expedition Everest. Fun! There was virtually no line. Loved that coaster. We had 10:15 reservations for breakfast so we had time for Kali River Rapids. Ironically, I was concerned about getting wet. I kept my feet up and feet stayed dry. I'm obsessed about keeping my feet cozy... more on that later.

That's my G!

Cool. I love that you're documenting your food. I am a vegetarian, too, so I am interested in seeing how you fare. I have some tried and true favorites, but I am always interested in seeing different veggie meals at WDW. :)

Sorry about your sad news. Did you pass out on SM or what? Also, if I see you are at CSR, are you near the Cababa section where you can tell me if the hammocks are still on the sandy beach out front?
